i suggest you download ccleaner. Everytime you need to uninstall something , use ccleaner.. it deletes ALL files from your pc/mac. It seems you got some little file hiding somewhere in your mac, try looking up for that program's folder and deleting it. And once you got the ccleaner, click '' scan for issues '' and fix them. It might detect the error youre looking for

I just googled it, it says it's only for Windows. I'm on a mac.

find where the program was installed at, and delete the whole folder. Part of it might be left behind.

Search for the name of the virus thing in spotlight then if it's there download appzapper and remove it that way.
