When the map is loading, look at the bottom right hand corner. When it finishes loading, it will say " Awaiting Challenge 0..." If your are not host it will say " Awaiting Connection..1..2..3"

Or when the game starts for about 2 srconds, you will have 4 bars and everybody will have 1.
