How to JAILBREAK 4.2.1 with greenpois0n RC5

Notes: Please Read
- If you have used a previous jailbreak on your 4.2.1 device I suggest you restore your device to factory settings in iTunes before you do this guide. Just make sure you sync everything to your computer before it so you can sync it back once you are done. But DO NOT restore to a backup, this will put everything on your device that you dont want on it.
- Jailbreaking will not delete any of you music or apps
- Backup your iDevice before you begin
- Make sure to power off your device before you begin
- works with ALL devices, except ipod 1g, and iPad support will come with RC6
- if you have an unlocked iphone 4, DO NOT UPDATE YET. Wait so you can keep your baseband
- This WORKS on VERIZON IPHONE
- Jailbreaking is totally reverisble
- Jailbreaking will not slow down your device
- if you have any issues when jailbreaking hold the home and power buttons on your device until it reboots. This will exit from DFU mode

TEXT TUTORIAL


Okay here it is
An Easy 7 Step Guide


Step 1

Download Greenpois0n for your computer. It will look like this on windows

Unzip the file by double clicking on it and open the Greenpois0n app.

Step 2

Plug your device into your Mac or PC via USB and open Greenpois0n.


Step 3

Prepare to put your device into DFU mode. Greenpois0n gives you the steps to do this and will count down for you where the Greenpois0n logo is in the app. Remember to power off your device!!!

Step 4

Click Jailbreak. Wait 5 seconds and then hold the sleep button for 2 seconds. Without releasing the sleep button press the home button and hold both of those for 10 seconds. Next release the sleep button while still holding the home button for an additional 15 seconds, then you can release the home button. Then click jailbreak and you will see the green loading bar as pictured below. You should get a white flash.

Step 5

Youre device will show a white screen and text will begin scrolling on your device. Once your device starts rebooting you can then release the home button.

Step 6

Now on your device open the Loader app, tap to install Cydia and let it do its thing.

You can get many applications from both of these sources
I definately suggest getting andriodlock from sinful and gpsphone from xsellize. Gpsphone allows you to play Nintendo emulators on your iPod or iPhone.

hey i want to do this but i was wondering when you do it, do you get to keep all music apps ect on your ipod or do you lose them all??

Yes they saty everything does but still make sure you back up your ipod just in case of any accidents.

yes you will be able to keep everything u already have, and it will open up a world of new things
