You can use a live account, but it'll be disconnected making it useless to use a live account..

Need help, I just updated to the new dash, Now I have no picture.Sound works. And for some reason my usb wont be recognized in xell, It's fat32.

i have a jtagged xbox and it got the red ring of death so i fixed it. while i was in there i re-solderd the jtag wires b/c they were about to fall off. when i put it back together and turned it on i am getting no video or sound and my power brick is flashing orange and green please help

Get the error code, you probably overheated it. So either x-clamp fix or reflow will do.

I am having trouble with my 2nd jtag. This is a fresh install, I backed up my nand 4 times. I thought I had a good dump and flashed xell. It booted just fine to xell. I then made a freeboot image with the new coolshrimp jtag tool 2.85 I believe it is.

After writing the freeboot image, I can not get this thing to boot at all. I hit eject, the light flashes green as if in vendor mode (disc drive disconnected) but no xell anymore. I have been trying with all 4 nand dumps to build freeboot and install it, and it seems to write fine, but no display at all.

It also now gives me rrod 0022. I also downloaded a clean xenon nand and did a nand repair in jtag tool. I get an error saying that my nand dump is for a different console, but I'm sure it's a xenon as it has no hdmi. Also in Flash360 it shows my nand dumps as xenon 1.0 in the bottom right. So I don't understand why I get that error when I try to repair any of the nand dumps.

Please help me bring this thing to life-I'm about lost now and I feel like I've tried everything. It still reads and writes great with the lpt port, but no matter what I flash to it, it gives rrod 0022 (isn't that a bad nand flash?) so I am definitely stumped. Can you please help me?

Update: As I was writing this, I also was writing a donor nand with my cpu key and it boots xell! I need to take a minute and figure out how to get it to update with a bad nand...All I have is my cpu key and xell on a xenon I know there's gotta be a way to get her runnin still

Update 2: I have rebuilt a good nand (well it doesn't have bad blocks in it) with my cpu key and a good kv. In Degraded it shows no bad blocks, and in Flash360 it doesn't show a bad kv. I ran this through coolshrimp's jtag tool to make a FreeBOOT image. I then checked it again with Degraded, everything looks good. I renamed this file updflash.bin and put it on a FAT32 4gb flash drive and put it into the 360.

Booted up Xell, it found and installed the nand from the flash drive, but no matter what button is pressed, power or eject, it boots to Xell everytime. I know I'm getting very close to it finally being finished, but what am I doing wrong? Or what didn't I do? I power cycle this way: I unplug the power brick from the 360 and the brick from the wall power, then hold the power button on the 360 for like 20 seconds. I plug it all back in, and it just boots to Xell.

Do you think I'm having trouble because I'm using the Xenon 2 switching diodes method? What else could I check on to find out why I can't boot to dashboard?

Update 3: I got it! The whole thing was a forehead slap. I didn't use the no dvd drive fix, so I just had to plug in my dvd drive and then power it on. Xenon jtag with 12625 and all is well. Already got the Super Nintendo on it and Xex Menu. Now just have to get Freestyle Dash setup to boot instead of the regular dash and I'll consider it finished. Hopefully someone can get some useful information from my post and fix their trouble if their having a headache 360 like I had lol

Zephyr - HDMI version of Xenon (non-hdmi) built a bit more durable but not much. Gets random e74 error, difficult to upgrade.

Falcon - Built much greater than zephyr. Much more durable.

When it comes with JTAG's i'd put top dollar up and pay for the best.

Falcon in your case.
