****The Basics****
1. Make sure you stand still. I see many amateur quickscopers focusing more on their movement than they are on their shot. If you are not standing still, your shot will not register as well.
2. Don't overshoot. By this I mean do not attempt 4 or 5 crazy quick scopes on someone, practice on getting them with your first shot, even if it is slower. Also, when someone is across the map hardscope them.
3. Dont Noscope! In a 1 on 1 situation do not attempt to no scope them. This is a HUGE waste of a shot. In this game you scope in SUPER fast, just focus on your shot and dont go to crazy.
4. Sensitivity. You dont have to be on 10 sensitivity to quickscope. One of my good friends is a GREAT quickscoper and he plays on 2. I know people have said this a million times, but just play with your comfortable with.
5. Play Pubs! Many people will say that the best way to get good at quickscoping is to play against your friends in private matches. This is NOT true. In a private match you are under NO pressure, and usually "go crazy" with your shots. If your playing against reg guns you learn to play smart and focus on one single shot. I suggest FFA if your just starting so you can learn to work in a crazy environment
6. Practice makes perfect. Don't get frustrated and quit just because you miss a couple of shots. Do you think anybody got good overnight? No. Most of the good snipers you see started in CoD4, CoD2, or Halo 2.
Advanced Strategies***
1. The Do Nots. Do not rush like crazy. Do not focus on the killcam, focus on the kill. Do not focus on your kill death, focus on the win. Do not worry about hardscopes.
2. Learn Sniper Spots. Basically, just go into a private match and search for pre-fires, wallbangs, and good areas to stay around.
3. Handgun Secondary! This is very important for a sniper. Handguns can be VERY good if you learn to use them. Their very helpful when you get an X at pointblank, a handgun can save your life. Also if your using the Deagle (my favorite) you can run around with it out and still be successful.
4. You miss every shot you don't attempt! If the only shot you can attempt on a person is almost impossible, just try it. I am not telling you that if you have an easy shot try to no scope him. This should only be applied if you only have one shot .
