Everytime I buy a wired one it stops working.
Should i try getting a wirless headset.

Yes, I had the same issue as you. I was continually purchasing wired mic's.
Just drop the extra bills on a wireless, they last way longer for example I have my x31's for about 7 months now and I have had zero issues with them.

Turtle beachs rock teh socks they havent given me any problems get x31s, or x41s i think they made a new headset also if you wanna check that out

i bought the wireless microsoft made mike and i broke one of my controllers that i had it originally connected up to.so i tried to connect it to my other controller and it doesnt work so i had to buy a new mike lol

i have the turtle beach x41 which are wireless and amazing. the batteries last a good 20 hours of game play even with 7.1 surround sound,bass boost and built in amplifier. i paid 165 when they first came out which is a hell of a lot for headphones but they are well worth it. any wireless turtle beach are worth it but i wouldnt recommend the cheap ones like the bluetooth kind
