Hi I'm thinking about buying a computer that doesn't cost that much because I'm on a budget. I was thinking about getting a computer with Intel Integrated Graphics and I was wondering if I could be able to install a new video card later down the road. This is an issue because, if I'm correct, then then graphics is installed in the processor. Please correct me if I'm wrong but if you have any answers please reply.. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is the computer I was looking at.

I'd say that looks fine mate.
6gb ram for that price is insane...
And the graphics card is upgradable to 1.7gb which is more then enough for the top of the range games.
The graphics card already installed isn't to bad either.
I mean you MAY have to lower some settings a little, but for now, that look's great. 8)
Best of luck!

Onboard graphics always suck. But since its a Desktop, there should be a PCI-E slot that you can put a Graphics card into to help boost performance.

Thats what I was thinking, but since the integrated graphics are built into the processor then thats where I was wondering if it would run the graphics off of the new and installed video card instead of the the integrated graphics.

Normally Graphics cards built onto motherboards have there own (usually small) GPU.
But if you add a PCI-E graphics card, then go into the BIOS and disable the on-board card, then it will only use the graphics cards GPU.
Hope this helps!

Ok I think I will try that, I purchased that computer I showed above so I'll try going into the BIOS once I get a new card. Thanks! +rep!
