I need to get the motherboard out so I can replace the DC power jack... the only problem is I can't get the damned thing apart. I have taken every visible screw and component out, but can't get any farther. It looks like there is a screw underneath the space bar on the keyboard, but i can't take the keyboard off because of that screw... how do i get to that screw without destroying the keyboard?
I'd be really happy if any one can tell me the proper way of disassembling this.
Please don't tell me to google it, I have, and I have found nothing (but questions) about disassembling this model. I have even looked on the ASUS site and got the hardware manual, but it had no instructions to disassemble.
If I am missing something completely obvious, please call me out on it.
