Welcome To My Tutorial Thread About Jtags!
In this tutorial you will learn how to:
- Update your jtag's dash to 12611 (Kinect Dash)
- Install Xex Menu on your jtag by using a Transfer cable
- Burn a game onto xex menu with a retail copy of the game and an ISO of the game
- Get the files you need for MW2 & MW1 system link
- Get a patch onto your Jtag for MW2 or MW1
- MW2 system link yourself
- Install freestyle dashboards
- How to get your CPU and DVD Key
Update your Jtag's Dashboard to 12611 (Kinect Dash)
How To Get Xex Menu On Your Jtag By Using A Transfer Cable
How to Burn A Game Onto Xex Menu With A Retail Copy Of The Game Or An ISO Of The Game
Things You Will Need:
- 6-7gb Of space every time you copy a game.
- A retail or ISO of the disc you want to copy.
What To Do:
- On Xex Menu press Y and make a folder called Games
- In the Game folder make a folder called [The name of the game you are copying]
- When your in the folder of the game you want to copy, press Y and then COPY DVD
- It will come up with a warning, insert the disc you want to copy
- Make sure you shut the disc tray MANUALLY or it will NOT work
- Wait about 10 seconds and then press confirm
- Dont leave the Xbox until it has copied because if your controller disconnects the copying will stop.
- And Your Done!
How to Get The Files You Need For System Link On MW2 and MW1
What You Will Need:
- MW1 Files - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- MW2 Files - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- USB Stick
What To Do:
- Put the Files onto a USB Stick
- Put the USB stick into your Jtag
- Go to Xex Menu
- Press RB to get to the USB (If it doesn't take you to the USB keep pressing Right and Left on The D-Pad until you find it)
- Hover over the files you want and then Y and then press COPY
- Press X and go to HDD1:
- Go to MW1 or MW2 in the Games folder and paste all 3 files
- Then your done!
- If you want to play on the mods go onto the game and scroll down until you find default_mp.ff and play and go on system link
How To Get A Patch onto Your Jtag.
Things You Will Need:
- A Jtag
- A Patch - Go to: Forums/viewtopic/t=358412.html
- Xex Menu
- MW2 etc. Installed to Xex menu
- USB Stick (Flash Drive)
- Two modded files called default_mp.ff and code_post_gfx_mp.ff
What To Do:
- Download A Patch
- Plug your USB Stick in your Computer/Laptop
- Open the USB folder
- Drag the patch_mp.ff into the USB folder
- Turn your Jtag on
- Plug your USB into your Jtag
- Go to Game Library
- Open Xex Menu
- Press RB to get to your USB
- Go to patch_mp.ff
- Press Y and then COPY
- Then Press X
- Then Go to HDD1:
- And find your MW2 (Or whatever COD Game)
- Go on MW2 and scroll down until you find patch_mp.ff
- Press Y and delete
- The press Y and paste (doesn't matter where in the MW2 folder)
- And your done!

How to system link yourself on MW2
Things You Will Need:
- Retail Xbox
- Jtag Xbox
- 2 Ethernet Cables or 2 Wireless Adaptors
- A Patch For Mw2
-MW2 on Xex Menu
What To Do:
- Connect your Jtag to the same router as your retail Xbox
- On your Jtag load up MW2 using Xex Menu and go on System Link and create a match and make sure Xbox live unlocks are ON!
- On your retail Xbox sign into the account you want to mod
- Load up Mw2 on your retail xbox and go on system link and then find match and join the match
- Your Done!
How to install a Freestyle Dashboard
Things You Will Need:
- USB Stick
- The File - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
What To Do:
- Put your USB in your computer/laptop
- Only put these files onto the USB
- FreeStyle
- FSD Indexer
- Launch
- Source
- Now put your USB into the BACK of your xbox
- Go to Xex Menu and then Got to your USB by pressing RB
- Go into the LAUNCH folder
- Then copy the freestyle-usb file (not the ISO)
- Then go to Content
- Then 0000000000
- Then CODE9999
- And make a new folder called 00007000
- Copy the freestyle-usb into the 00007000 (not ISO)
- Go back to the dashboard and then game library then full games and you should see it there
- If you take out your USB and try to load it, it will not work
- Done!
