So I've had my Xbox for almost 2 years now, and I've had the open tray error a couple of times now. The first few times, I just reset my xbox, or just kept opening and closing it. Now, I've tried that many times, for days actually, and nothing. I've opened my entire Xbox, including the DVD Drive. The problem is the disc does not spin, thus the laser not recognizing the disc. I try kick starting the thing a few times, and absolutely nothing will make the damn thing work.
I've tried;
Restarting it. Excessively.
Unplugging the Xbox cords.
Clearing system Cache.
Hitting the top of my xbox (Before I opened it.)
Tried it with it sitting both horizontally and vertically.
I've tried tapping on the spinner.
I tried cleaning it.
I took the magnet out and repositioned it. NOTHING WILL MAKE THE DISC SPIN.
I've voided the warranty, so there is no sending it in.
I can't get a new one. Any suggestions?

This is what I do. Guaranteed works 99 percent of the time! If not, then you're screwed.
Eject disc, take game out.
Close disc.
Wait for it to say open tray
Eject disc, put game in.
Close disc.
Should work... at least for me it does.
