I felt like posting this because it seems like alot of people are confused about spec ops.
Special Ops Mode
What we know so far:
[*]A max of 2 players will be supported
[*]Will support 2 players in offline, split-screen co-op
[*]Will support 2 players in online co-op
[*]Completely separate from single player campaign mode
[*]Contains multiple missions, some adapted from the campaign and others crafted specifically for Special Ops
[*]Ability to revive downed teammate
[*]Described as similar to "Mile High Club" from CoD4
[*]Will last roughly as long as the SP campaign
[*]Unlock more levels as you gain stars, which are earned by completing Spec Ops missions. Higher difficulty = more stars.
[*]No perks or custom classes in Special Ops
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Updated
[*]3 different difficulty settings.(Recruit,Normal,and Veteran)
[*]Completeing missions on different difficulties will award you 1,2,or 3 stars.
[*]5 different level sets.Starting from "Alpha" to "Echo".
[*]Some missions require you to hold out against waves of enemies using claymores and snipers.(Sounde like horde from GoW 2.Right?)
The first revealed mission involves moving through a shower room that is heavily defended. Enemies will fire from above your position, and enemies in the shower room can be equipped with riot shields.
In a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , more missions were revealed:

Examples Bowling provided were a snowmobile race, a water-based fight alongside Navy SEALS, or a fight against a rush of 50 enemies.

Greenbird wrote I wish you could have more than 2 people
They said,"You wouldn't get that rush you do when you play with 2 people."They considered it the "magic number".
