No, you don't have to use your real phone number. k7.net offers free online phone numbers with voicemail and no you don't have to use your real real info such as your real address and stuff. I don't and I already got about 1500 points which is just almost enough for 1600 microsoft points (2000 is how much you need)
So actually it's not a scam and it really works if you are willing to take some time to click through some offers/surveys. I also advise in making a whole new email account for the offers b/c they will spam the heck out of you. And yes you get points for referring others. Try it out for yourself. *edit* also forgot . You are not limited to only getting msp. You can get all sorts of stuff b/c your points are used to get things from amazon.com
