just wondering because obviously i dont have 2 controllers.

It is quite obvious that you don't have two controllers.
There is another thread almost identical to this one and the outcome was NO... You must have 2 controllers in order to do this since it involves a SPG to trick the system both accounts have the privileges to play the maps.
My best advice is to pick up a crappy off-brand used controller at gamestop for like $10.
