How to Detect and Remove a Key Logger , Rat , or Virus!

Detecting the virus or infection.




First thing you want to Star Windows Task Manager.
You can do that by hit the buttons CTRL+ALT+Del at the same time.
Now open up the processes tab.

Scroll down to the "W's".

Look for "winlogon.exe"


If there are 2 files that say "winlogon" you most likely have an infection.

Right click both of them and select " Open file location" .
If they bring you to two different locations then it is really likely you have one of the above infections.




Now I want you to click start and search for "Regedit"

Open up that program.

It should look like this.

Now go to
Hkey_Current_User>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current version

Scroll down to the "R's"

Look for run.

No if there are 2 folders that say "Run"
That is real bad!

Deleting the Virus or infection.

Go to start and type in "Msconfig"
Open it.

Now go to the start up tab.

Find the infected file.
It most likely wont let you disable it.
Do not get scared just restart your computer and run in safe mode.
You will then be able to disable and delete it.
