I Have Mine on a box and it is sitting down not standing up
and try other games cuz i had the same problem just for black ops,when i went on black ops it always got the 3 red rings but any other game it was ok

i will not give any rubbish methods but a simple 1 needs new thermal paste on the CPU/GPU theres always enough in a tube for both if you don't want to do it i can always do it but i obivously will prefer not to

buy a new one and return this POS in the box you got the new one from, most places dont check. Or get a desk fan and point it at the air vents on your xbox

You have too much Dust in your xbox. You need to take the case off and clean it, it happened to me aswel.
