Well many people here joined during the 10th prestige rush of MW2 I noticed that a lot more people are joining and aren't getting the respect that they should be getting. I finally got around to making this rant about how TTG has changed. I'll break it into different sections on how TTG has changed.

New members
I've noticed that a lot of new members have been joining just for 10th prestige lobbies, game modding, and just about anything else. Now this isn't a bad thing, considering it's great that TTG is getting bigger and bigger everyday, but a lot of the new members aren't getting the respect they should. Almost every new member gets pushed a side when they ask for help in the SB, they leech right away for lobbies and get hated on making them not want to come back to TTG since they think it's a terrible community full of haters, and they don't even have respect from anyone else when they try to help someone.

Threads that are great, but get no respect
I've seen countless threads created by some new members, and some unknown members that get little attention at all compared to threads made by mods or known members that get a lot of posts. This is a problem because how can you get known on a website when you create threads that get little to no attention at all. What should be changed is that members should not just look at the known members threads, and look at the smaller threads to help some of the new members out. Plus by helping out new threads you let the new members know that TTG is a friendly and helpful community.

People posting on threads just for posts
This really isn't a big deal on some threads, but I've noticed a big increase in people posting a lot more. To start this off I notice on threads about someone asking for help get about 20+ replies of the same thing that someone else posted. Really do you need to tell the same person the same thing 20 times? Another thing about post count is that a lot of members are trying to get higher post counts to look like a better member. This not only creates more spam that isn't necessary, but it also doesn't make you a better member. What really matters is helping people out with problems, helping people out with glitches, and helping people learn how to use programs correctly. Finally to wrap up the posting problem It's not the post count that counts, but how much you help out the community.

People trying to get rep
I've noticed an increase of people trying to get more and more rep everyday. I notice a lot of threads saying that people get negative repped for no reason. This not only creates spam on the forums, but makes people choose sides between the member who negative repped the person, and the person who got negative repped. Now onto people trying to get a lot of rep. Instead of posting on every thread to get the one rep every 25 or so posts, try to help out some members with problems that don't say "help me +rep if you do" Help out members who just need help and that don't give an incentive to help them. This would possibly create spam because people would post multiple times on the same thread that all ready has been answered. And to wrap this up, Rep is a little number by your name and some colored pixels. People may argue that it means more than that, it may be true, but people with a lot of rep can still be a terrible member.

Members who jump all over the girls on the site
It's really sad to see a lot of members posting on threads that are made by a girl, creeping on them in the SB always trying to make small talk, and finally members who try to try and have an online relationship with people on the forums. One saying, Grow up people. I have talked to some members on other forums about people always trying to hit on them. It gets really annoying I'm guessing when you get over 20 messages a day of just small talk, and sexual slurs/sexual come ons. It's really sad to see members trying to hit on girls online.

Giant flame wars
It's sad that any thread can become a giant flame war. Just a couple days ago I noticed that a thread about music become a flame war about which music is better and that one genre of music takes no skill. It's in the rules people, no flame wars are to be started. If you ever get into a flame war take the mature way out of it, and just leave the thread alone so you don't get in any more trouble, or just try and make it mutual with each other and just say OK we're both correct.

Trolls in general
I've noticed a lot more members are starting to go around and troll the forums. I know there isn't a rule against members trolling, but there should be. It's sad when someone is trying to make their point in a post, or someone who creates a thread to help people and the thread gets trolled. It may be funny for a couple posts, but it gets really immature. People just need to stop trolling and they need to actually help members instead of saying "Cool story bro" or just making troll remarks.

Pointless threads
I've seen countless threads that are created every hour about "Do you know me," "Funny picture," "My awesome house," "Type your TTG name backwards/with elbow/ eyes closed." It's really sad that these threads are created that are just a little variation of a different thread. It not only creates more spam that is un-needed, but it's just a annoyance when they push down great threads that should get posts on them. Instead of creating a thread about typing your name backwards, try posting it in the SB.

People not reading rules
It's sad to see countless members, new and old members, that don't read the rules. I've seen countless gold give aways that are against the rules, asking for rep/thanks in give aways, people who minimod (just report the post, no need to add a reply to a thread, that creates spam). It should be mandatory that when ever the rules are changed that everyone has to view the thread, and also do a check box saying that they abide to them. If they are ever caught breaking the rules they will have a more severe punishment since they lied when they said they read the rules.

People not using the search bar
This doesn't really aggravates me as much as people who don't read rules, but it creates more spam that isn't needed. The search bar has been added to the bottom of the screen to help with this problem, but people still don't use it. The search bar is there to help reduce spam on the forums, and to help make threads not fall down below other threads. So if you ever want to create a thread, next time use the search bar to make sure the thread hasn't all ready been posted.

Kiss ups, (not just to mods)
It's really sad that when someone decides to kiss up to someone just to try and get respect. It's not a great idea to always suck up, even though sometimes it may be a good thing, it's just sad.

TTG trying to stay hip
The new theme versions that come out are nice, and they also add new stuff every time but they are annoying when you get used to the other themes. I personally joined during V1 theme of TTG and I loved the theme because It was simple. When they changed to V2 theme I wasn't here for it, but it was a nice change. Sure they changed some stuff, but you have to move on and learn to live with it. Now with V3 they have changed it so much, I thought I signed into a completely different forum. (Sure I'm going against the stuff I just said, but thats what a rant section is for.)

People using bad grammar
Sure people may speak 1337 speak sometimes but it gets annoying when you can barely even understand a thread. The next time you create a thread/post try and make sure that you are typing in a way that others would be able to understand.

Gold members thinking better of themselves
Sure they pay an extra $5.97 a month to have some cool features I have noticed that they think of themselves as a much better member since they help the site out. Not only is this really sad but it makes you appear that you have a huge ego when though of by other members. This can lead you down the path of getting banned, because you can get into a flame war with others saying that you're a better member, or not accepting that you're wrong in an argument.

I will create another one of these threads sometime later

/rant over
