First off, info on your GPD. File, unless you know what your doing, you may not be able to use the accordingly.

Many people are having problems using saves for this game and I haven't seen much info with helping this matter. But I will shed some light. To reset your stats and helping delete your gpd. file when using saves.

You need Modio free or vip,(LeFluffie will also work) doesn't matter. Xploder or Xport either one....assuming you know what your doing.

Get your game profile id, Desktop it. Open Modio drag your profile ID in to, then click on the file contents tab scroll down til you get to "4D530805GPD.FILE" deleted it. then click the general file info. Resign and Rehash. Put it back onto your HD and start up Alan Wake. Start a new game offline, and collect the first thermal coffee can. Your stats SHOULD be reset. You can now sign online and play as normal... Good Luck.


These gamesaves will help you unlock the Achievement that are stated with.

*alarm clock revised instructions - requires 3/4 play through. Start new DLCcampaign 1st missing alarm clock is in the childrens playground, defeat the possesed equipment, look for the alarm clock under knocked over trees on a bench. Thanks to cyto for pointing that out. Continue playing game and follow the instructions in the savefile folder*
