Works flawlessly. I also had to do it twice. Just do it once, reload save and do it again. First bear did spawn near the river, but that's probably coincidence with other comment. Just jog around until you hear one it will for sure spawn somewhere.

This is EU so if you need a different region you'll have to re region it with save wizard. Tons of tutorial videos out there.

Works great. Just use this save for easy 18 Bear kills. The last bear for me respawned near the river. So you can try there.
