You know these GameBoy Color-enhanced games that can be played on a monochrome GameBoy, but plays with added color when on a GBC?
You might have wanted to play them in monochrome for whatever reason.
Most emulators allow you to set the game into GB mode so that it automatically loads the game in monochrome mode, as if it was in a Gameboy/Pocket.
However, some emulators (notably GBCoid and gameboy4iPhone) do not allow you to do this and will always load the game in color mode.
There is a very easy way to allow you to run GBC games in monochrome mode on these emulators: Overwrite the byte at 0x143 with 00 in any hex editor.
For those who can't do hex editing, I have included a .ips patch that should work with every GBC-enhanced game.
