Anyways, I'm thinking of some unique ideas for a custom '88 300ZX. Out there and wacky ideas. Got any?

umm we're not lying. Diesel's make crazy amounts of torque just stock.

dodge has over 850 stock, powerchoke has 800, duramax has 765.

With diesels all you need is a tuner to turn up the fuel and to change a few settings in the computer to make a lot of power.

Regardless, buddy here just puts a large amount of cars into the rice rocket category with little knowledge of them.

I had an '03 cummins pushing 500lb/ft, and I could easily get more. Did I pull ricers? hardly.

you know why? because it's a full size diesel truck and I'm not kidding myself.

Just for your knowledge in vehicles, 1000hp 500f/lbs of torque in a truck is accurately the equivalent of 300hp 250f/lbs torque in a car that ways 2300 lbs. All in all, my acura rapes any truck unless its a 2 wheel drive thats boosted in any way or has a full rebuild. The only truck i have had problems with was a SVT.

I don't know where you got 1000hp from. Anyways, you can barely compare horsepower and torque from a truck to a car. There are so many factors that affect the performance whether it's 0-60 or highway pulls.

500 ftlbs? dude get a smarty jr tuner on that and you can be running 900 ftlbs.

my brother has a 2012 gmc denali hd running 550hp and 1001ft lbs with a h&s xrt pro tuner (well tuner says after you use it, that's what you should be running)

I know I could run more, but I don't have it any more.

I stated that for argument's sake, it comes stock with 500lb/ft, but it not going to pull anything other than a trailer.

Your opinion. Im not a fan of dodge tho. p.s, tug of war's are about traction, not the vehicle itself.

duramax cant be too crap if it made 1086 horsepower on a stock bottom end before blowing up. it made 1086 horsepower like 2 runs before this and they just kept running it till it blew. it made 900 on the last pull.

im not talking about power now, but really what is the point of a massive pickup with crap traction, and not 4wd the whole point of a pickup is for it to be a utility vehicle for use on farms etc

It's all about the tires dude, I see duramax's beating cummins, powerstrokes beating duramax's, duallys beating srw 3500's, etc.

I don't see how a tug of war defines a truck though. Trucks (especially diesel) are just like what you said, a utility vehicle for essentially anything..farming, towing, etc.

If you were pulling a trailer with a few not-so-great tires (but not to the point where they are bald), that wont matter.

Get a tune, up the boost if possible, It really depends on your budget and plans. I always like those cars the TT-V6 model would be a great place to start with a tune only it would really change the car alot make it really fun to drive.
