Of the world cup? Because we have no chance. Now give me a chance to explain that, from my point of view (realistic, not pessimistic ;))

Just look at our squad on paper, then look at some other competing countries, do you really believe that we have the BEST squad out of every other country in the world? Because I certainly don't, I'd say we have a squad good enough for us to reach top 16, maybe top 8 if we get good fixtures, but I don't see us progressing any further than that

We're underdogs, sure. But there's no point ruling us out before the tournament has even started. We have a strong squad of players, and if they can live up to their Premier League reputations, we have a great chance.

I agree, anything can happen (Chelsea winning the champions league for example) but I personally don't see it happening, when you see some of the teams we will have to compete against and defeat.

Yeah, I doubt very much we'll win - but there's still that little chance.
IMO Germany have the best squad in the world. Fantastic defence, unbeatable midfield and an experienced strike force. They do need a good left back and a youthful striker, though.

I think Belgium could be a massive surprise in the world cup looking at their squad... I think they will do even better in 2018 though, as all their players are really young and will improve over the next 5 years dramatically and I think they will win it!

(Lukaku, Benteke, Hazard, Mirallas, Mingnolet, Courtuois or however the hell you spell it, Vertonghen, Kompany, Fellaini, Witsel, Dembele, De Bruyne, Mertens, Bakkali etc.)

Chile played well, we play abysmally. They clearly deserved the win & were the better team on the night

I take back anything said about England possibly winning the World Cup.

Quite frankly my Sunday league team have a better chance.

It's pathetic that a group of such good players just can't play together.
It has to be down to football rivalries in the Premier League. Well that, and the fact we have Roy Hodgson as manager who is about as creative as Tom Cleverley.

We need a goal, I know I'll bring. Jordan Henderson and Tom Cleverly on.......

Lose 2-0

Too many people are expecting England to be playing like Spain and other great teams. Chile had a great game last night, a top class team with a great striker and they are now unbeaten in 10 games.

You also have to see Hodgson's side, that he was experimenting with the team and this definitely wasn't our strongest squad, in previous friendlies, England managers have been criticised for not experimenting with the players in the squad, and when he does experiment, a load of fans have a go at him. Obviously it wasn't the correct experiment, but at least he tried, he will now probably change things up for our match against Germany, remember these are friendlies, not world cup quarter-finals.

Also, James Milner has explicit pictures of Woy Hodgson... that is why he starts. Poor old Woy does not want the pictures to get leaked.

Should be fun to see Germany absolutely annihilate England on Tuesday
