Its all good Adding another fan to the fanmily (pun intended) 5GHz suicide run! Stock - Undervolting the CPU Its the Uk's summer time right now and my room is hitting 25-30 Degrees which means im putting my CPU back to stock. Ive managed to get it to run at 1.200v which is -0.100 its original stock volts which cools the chip even further.
http://i1314.photobucket.com/albums/t563/Editiionz/Undervolting8320_zps9b22c87a.png How the air flow works http://i1314.photobucket.com/albums/t563/Editiionz/airflow_zps5134ae51.png
Explanation: The 2 side panel fans bring in fresh air. The back intake also does too. The exhaust is done by the PSU which takes in air from the rear intake. Exhaust is also handled by the push/pull setup down the bottom which also takes in air from the bottom side panel and warm air from the GPU. Finally, the top side panel fan cools the mosfets, RAM & HDD which comes out from the front grills. A total of 6 120mm fans & 2 fans on the GPU keep the computer cool. It took me a while to make the airflow decent enough to make me want to keep the case a little longer. |

I wasn't going to share this setup simply because how ghetto rigged it is but the kitten was just so cute I had to share.
Picture: Specifications: CPU: i5 2.5 GHz
Memory: 4 GB Hard Drive: 120 GB Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD (Upgrading from stock 500 GB HDD) What is actually going on: I have a 25' inch HP 2511x monitor that has a thuderbolt to HDMI running from a Macbook Pro that is hidden in such a way that my cats can not chew on the cables.
Thus letting me get on TTG without having to lock myself away in a room. |
