It is also good to see that Hull City are trying to establish themselves as a proper premier league side. First they sign Jelavic and now it looks like they are signing Shane Long, both good strikers that could do well at Hull. Should give them the goals they are missing. |

Some transfer news:
Chairman Nicola Cortese's departure from Southampton could open the door for Chelsea to make a renewed bid for 18-year-old left-back Luke Shaw. Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are preparing for a bidding war over Shaw, who is valued at 20m. Offers are also expected to be received for striker Jay Rodriguez, as well as central defenders Morgan Schneiderlin and Dejan Lovren, all aged 24. After failing in a bid to sign John Obi Mikel, 26, Napoli boss Rafael Benitez hopes to sign another Chelsea midfielder, 31-year-old Michael Essien. Manager David Moyes watched Paris St-Germain's 21-year-old forward Lucas Moura this week with a view to landing the 30m-rated Brazilian. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is set to block Schalke's move for Lewis Holtby, 23, because he does not want to help Arsenal land Julian Draxler by providing the Germans with the midfielder's replacement. bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/gossip/ |
