I believe they were negotiating with Basel for Salah but before they could agree a deal, Chelsea came in and had a bid accepted

Well if im honest neither team need him.
Liverpool need a new RB,LB and a new CM/CDM.
Chelsea need a ST.

yup pretty much when they do actually spend money its usually a waste examples being Carroll, Downing and personally i think Sakho is over rated not solid at all

Sorry but Liverpool is the 2nd biggest club in England.
So we must have the money but your right about the CL.
FSG need to give Rodgers some money , I mean there is only two signings that I have been disappointed in from Rodgers.

Aspas - 9M but still Rodgers does not play him? We could of bought a ST for 2M instead if they are 3rd choice.
Borini - 12M I think he can be a good player but Rodgers buys a ST to not play him and instead loan out

But I am happy with the rest like Sturridge 12M, Coutinho 8M, Allen 15M (Criticized by others but his energy in away games is great, I mean look at the Spurs 5-0) Sakho 17M (Solid at the back). Also all them young players look promising so it's beyond me why FSG dont give him anymore money. Especially if United give the 'Chosen One' 27.5M for Fellani and 40M for Mata (who they dont need)
