Yeh I've seen that, hopefully he signs another 1 year contract with us, that's if we offer him one.

I hope not. He's been awful since the Champions League final.

Really so you would rather him go and have no replacements? I agree his form as of late as been poor but you cant really replace him with many better LB's after all there isn't many out there. Ideally I would like us to sign Shaw and use Cole as back up until Shaw fully settles and improves and allow Cole to retire.

We have Bertrand and Van Aanholt coming back after this season. There's no point in keeping cole, especially on his massive wages. The same applies to Lampard, Terry is the only older player worth keeping.

I can see where your coming from however all of them are part of our history, club legends and I wouldn't want to ship then out when they are good for the squad. On the pitch they might not be as good as their primes but they are massive characters in the background helping other players improve and hopefully they'll take coaching roles with the club. Bertrand and Van Aanholt don't know how to win leagues etc I would rather sell both to fund a move for Shaw.

I'd love Shaw at Chelsea, but 25m is ridiculous. Van Aanholt is just as good.

It might be overpriced at the moment, but it's not like Chelsea can't afford him. The club is rich enough and it would probably quite a quick transfer.

In the summer I think Southampton will lower their asking price, in January nobody goes cheap because nobody wants to lose their best players. The truth is Shaw is only 18 and is already better then most premier league left backs aswell as Betrand and Van Aanholt who both aren't actually that young (24). If Chelsea don't snap him up then Utd will and hopefully(due to him being a Chelsea fan) he will come to SW6 and retire there as one of the greatest.

He's worth 10 mil at the most. If United are willing to overpay for him, then they can take him.

Hmm personally I believe he's worth double that, he's younger then me. I would be happy if we paid 15-20m for him. We need more British talent in our squad.

I'm not doubting his talent, i'd be happy if we got him, but 20m is far too much. We could probably get Ricardo Rodriguez for half that price, and he's A LOT better + he's only 21.

Fernando Torres has returned to training for Chelsea after recovering from is injury.
I expect him and Salah to be amongst the subs for the game against Newcastle on Saturday.

Good to see Torres back with the champions league coming up, Eto'o has been brilliant in all fairness. I hope Matic starts I feel that's a game he can show everyone how good he actually is, he adds a whole different dimension to our midfield. Hopefully Salah gets some game time but I doubt he'll start ahead of Willian who's been one of our best players lately, him Oscar and Hazard are linking up brilliantly.
