Role-playing on your Xbox is not something that you should put on your resume. We understand that. For many people, role-playing is a hobby and a great way to have fun. We want to congratulate you on taking the initiative and joining an explorers post! Being a police explorer is a great way to educate and expose yourselves to the reality of law enforcement!

Here in UES we have many law enforcement enthusiasts and some sworn law enforcement personnel. We also have individuals who are starting or going through the hiring process for real departments.

Commissioner A Drunk Tree is a law enforcement enthusiasts and applicant. In his spare time, he assists the Illinois State Police in training real cadets/recruits in the academy as a role-player. This means that when real police cadets/recruits practice their traffic stops, domestics, crimes-in-progress, and more, he is the "civilian/suspect" in those scenarios. We also have law enforcement officers in UES who share their experiences and knowledge. All of this real-world experience is what we teach in our academy. We teach cadets real-world procedures and techniques and they apply it to GTAV. Not the opposite way around. Our academy is a minimum of 18 hours long and this is no where near enough time.

We thank you for sharing your opinion. Feedback both positive and negative is always appreciated. We recommend that you give us a look and see what we are about. However, make sure that you understand what you are applying for. We hold our staff to a very high standard. We treat our organization like a real department, making sure that members understand they are members both "on duty" and "off duty" and representing our organization poorly, even outside of role-plays, can lead to consequence. Thus, if you do decide to apply in the future, comments like the one above would not be tolerated. It would represent our organization poorly and more importantly it represents you and your explorers post poorly.

Very awesome! You should look into joining then. The scenarios you do when in the academy are the scenarios police officers are doing when training with ISP.

One of the things I learned is that you need to be very serious about this and use a lot of detail, make sure to remain professional and treat it as if you were actually signing up for an actual, real job.

I'm already in a clan, but ask your Illinois guy if he knows a Sgt. Paquette from the Grundy County Sheriff's Department. She is the one who runs the explorer post.
