adeptskills wrote I got accepted for an interview!! I can't wait for the 17th so I can get through the interview and officially join UES, I leave for the Marine Corps within a year with primary MOS of Military Police and hopefully can benefit from this organization. Friday can't get here any faster, hope to see you guys in the field! Best of luck sir! The oral assessment is the biggest dis-qualifier for candidates. Make sure you are asking questions if you have them. Do not go into the oral assessment blind and expecting a typical "GTAV police 'clan' interview". It is not. |

HiMyNameIsPEPPY wrote I applied earlier this week. Hope the people who deserve it get in Only the best and most qualified are accepted into UES. We only hire 12 individuals at a time and only recruit six times a year. That makes for a lot of competition between applicants and our hiring process is a competitive one. The last time we hired individuals for Cadet Class 14-016, 86 people applied. 8 people of those 86 were hired for our academy and only 3 of those 8 graduated. Take it seriously and if you have questions, ask them! |

Can you give me an idea of what to be expecting and preparing for as far as the oral assessment goes, so that I won't blindly being going into the interview? I'm really interested and really am looking forward to getting the training help with law enforcement since that's my career path which I'll be pursuing within this coming year after I graduate. |

The oral assessment is not a traditional interview. Applicants responses are timed and responses are graded. Here are some things to know for the oral assessment: 1. With each question asked, you are given a total of two minutes to answer said question. Exceeding the two minute mark will result in having you stop and simply moving on to the next question. 2. At no point in time can the interview panel elaborate or clarify any questions that are asked. If you do not know what a word means or do not understand the question, all the interview panel can do is repeat the original question. 3. At no point in time can you refer back to an original answer. Example: We ask you question one and you answer it but run out of time. While answering question two, you cannot continue your response to question one. In other words, you have one opportunity to answer a specific question. Once the time expires or you tell us your done with that response, you can no longer answer that question. Those are the main things to know. We cannot release how many questions that are asked or what type of questions. P.S. It is extremely important that you answer each question as if it were real life. No question should be answered as if you were playing GTAV or were a character in GTAV. |
