BigRedMachine wrote Anyone interested in the championship here? Pretty entertaining day, top 4 teams all on 66 points and Norwich in 5th on 65 points. Derby stay 2nd on gd after letting 2-0 slip to Birmingham, Bournemouth back on top after yesterday's win. And I think the current bottom 3 of Blackpool, Millwall and Wigan are all going down. Blackpool certainly , lost 1-0 today and Wigan lost 1-0 and Millwall lost 4-1, I don't understand how Holloway hasn't gone yet? Tactically awful Every year I say to myself that I will watch Championship because its great everytime I watch the games and see the table, but I find it annoying that it hardly comes on TV so I don't bother getting into it. Might actually get into it next year though. |

Granted, for the first few weeks we were heavily reliant on Sanchez, but we had no Giroud, no Ozil, no Walcott, Wenger hadn't discovered that playing Coquelin ahead of Flamini was the right choice. Now we have these guys back and are regulary starting Coqueli we are far stronger, and gel greatly as a team (without having to spend 100s of millions to still be mediocre, like you). On top of this, if you look at player stats, we actually have the highest win rate with Giroud starting - not Sanchez. Showing that our striker can actually bang in goals, unlike Falcao/RVP and Wilson. So please do your research before blindly throwing up statements like "Arsenal would be 7th without Sanchez".. |

I highly doubt you can say winning a FA cup in how many seasons is great managing, I'd rather have Van Gaal than Wenger. You don't need to throw wilson into the strikers not scoring as he's only played a handful of times this season and is very young. RVP is ageing and he's still scored a decent 10, but I agree he's been awful along with Falcao who I am 99% sure will be going back to Monaco. Out of all the top teams I'd rather come up against arsenal at the moment. What do you mean not having Ozil, he's hardly world class. You've looked brilliant being beaten by Monaco 3-1 who were dead last favourites I believe left in the competition and that was at the Emirates stadium. Also Giroud, Sanchez and Ozil all started that game and Walcott came on. So before thinking Arsenal are doing so brilliantly with a little run of form, think of all your previous failings, also is it worth you getting Champions league football you never do anything in it anyway? |

360MoTioN wroteFIetchyy wrote360MoTioN wroteFIetchyy wroteSenate wroteFIetchyy wrote-Torres wrote Coming from a Chelsea fan here but I feel that Liverpool have a strong chance at this FA cup I think they'll do it This exactly what is wrong with your defense of Utd. You just pluck items out of thin air that are completely irrelevant. I highly doubt you can say winning a FA cup in how many seasons is great managing, I'd rather have Van Gaal than Wenger. I literally have never claimed this is "great managing" although winning back to back trophies isn't exactly bad.. On top of which you have absolutely nothing to back up why you'd rather Van Gaal bar the fact he is your current manager. You were so quick to throw out Moyes, when he actually was doing just as well (or badly) as LVG without spending a fraction of what LVG has spent. You just defend him because he is a "big" manager. On top of which, I'm not here to argue about club history. I'm here to talk about whats going on currently. It seems your only defence of United are - well look what we've won, still trying to desperately ride on the success of Sir Alex, well guess what, he's gone and isn't coming back, so why don't you actually scrutinise your team like Senate or half the other users here. You can support someone while still being truthful. I am more than happy to talk about Arsenal and Wenger's shortcomings, which you'll see if you read back over this seasons discussion. However, it is true, we have hit some form and I'd like to celebrate that, where-as you can't seem to get over the fact that Utd are a complete shambles at the moment who are riding their luck to be on the amount of points they are. You've looked brilliant being beaten by Monaco 3-1 Another thing you always seem to do is pull out single result and act as if that is the basis on how the team is doing season long. Yes we lost to Monaco - it was a poor performance, you lost 5-3 to Leicester, and 4-0 to MK Dons! Yet I wasn't going to use that as an argument against you because I can accept the fact that games don't always go your way.. so please grow up and learn to think critically rather than spouting nonsense about everyone else's teams. |

FIetchyy wrote You've completely contradicted yourself there, MK dons and Leicester were quite a few months ago as the Monaco game was very recently which is why I bought it up. I always scrutinise my team to an extent, but you have to defend your teams standings at the moment. Also if there was no History in football it wouldn't be nowhere near as exciting with all the rivalry. Van Gaal proved he's go what it takes as Holland finished 3rd in the world cup. With a team compared to a lot of the other countries wasn't the greatest. I don't want to argue about Arsenal as I actually prefer them to most of the premier league sides. I notice you do this to a lot of people though 'Grow up' well if you can't discuss something then you are the one who needs to grow up. Also I'm not saying Van Gaal is some strategic god as he obviously isn't, there's plenty of other managers I would've rather had, but we have to make it happen with what we have. Wenger has been a premier league manager for almost two decades, whereas Van gaal has been one for 5minutes. He's already said it's going to take time, he's not used to premier league football as it's a unique league. One thing he doesn't do is bullshit and try to cover things up. I love all this pre-game rivalry Anyway, lets hope it's an exciting game tomorrow with lots of goals. |

360MoTioN wrote Its not a contradiction as the point coming from that statement was that all teams play poorly. I mean I've been nothing but happy to praise Chelsea for their strength this season - but even they perform poorly from time to time (especially when they have no Matic), losing to Spurs and Newcastle, obviously they are both prem sides, but given Chelsea's quality we can consider those results poor performances. I am discussing with you the pros and cons of your team - and if you feel that all I do is attack other teams and defend my own to the death, then feel free to read back and show me where this the case. It is remarks like "Arsenal would be 7th without Sanchez" that make me want to prove to you that that is simply wrong. I do agree with you, that history is great, and it should be celebrated, but I just don't think it can be used as the basis of an argument against a teams current form. I also agree that LVG isn't afraid to speak his mind, but I feel that he is awful at giving a truthful analysis of his team in post match interviews, he seems to just get angry at the media for asking him questions they would ask any other manager, and he seems to just get angry at the team as well rather than accepting he can't come up with a half decent system. |

FIetchyy wrote360MoTioN wrote Well not anyones viewpoints will ever be the same and I understand most of your suggestions. I think United have been riding their luck to a certain point and of course we haven't been winning games confidently because of the system. Van Gaal's system is terrible, I think he'll get it right. He's trying his methods which worked for other clubs on our clubs, as most of us know premier league sides are nothing like other European sides. Each premier league team needs a unique system, but of course most of them are based on the same principal. I hope now Rooney is upfront it will make us stronger. Carrick is also back which is a bonus. Anyway what do you think will happen tomorrow any predictions? I go for 2-1 United or 2-2. |
