Fletcher wrote I'd have to agree with Designs in the sense that, as far as quality goes, and the prospect for domestic trophies, and perhaps even European in the next few years, Chelsea have the upper hand over PSG for sure. The only thing I can see would be a benefit for Pogba to go to PSG is that he'd be playing in his home country. However, seeing as his last two clubs have been United and Juve, and he has played in Manchester most of his life, I don't think that'd be enough of a factor for him.

Exactly , Along with the fact that no footballer cares about playing in your home country.

So many players play away from there home country , And every player would move from wherever they are to go to a big club so the "To play in his country" thing doesn't make sense too me.

Trust me, if an athlete can play for a big club in his home country, they will. Sadly, leagues in nations such as Brazil, Belgium, Argentina just aren't big enough for athletes of the caliber of Neymar, Hazard or Messi.

That's why there aren't a lot of British football players abroad, because they're already playing in the biggest/most competitive league.

Or the fact most british players are shit and cant get into teams abroad? xD

Bale the exeption , Who was good and who is at RM.

Who else do we have?

Cause Daniel sturridge is going to get into a good team abroad isnt he?
And Jack wilshire

No there all shit , Thats why there not abroad not because they want to play in there home country and your deluded if you think otherwise.

If players playing here "To play in there home country" werre offered a way to spain i bet almost every single one would take it.

I'm deluded? Sturridge could easily make it into a foreign team, the same with Wilshere.

Most British players don't want to leave Britain, because they don't want to leave their comfort zone, they wan't to play and live in a country where they can speak the language. It's not the fact that they're not good enough, they just aren't confident enough.

I know this because I had a similar dilemma.

Really? , I cant wait till i can get out of the UK and get out of my comfort zone and explore.

Really x2? Sturridge can easily make it into a foreign team? xD

Reeally x3 Wilshire can make it into a foreign team?

Sturridge is injured more than he plays and wilshire blew all talent he might of once possessed.

There will obviously be a side that would take on those players, good teams. Just because Sturridge is injured a lot, doesn't make him a bad player. It's the same with Wilshere, there will be LOTS of foreign teams willing to take both players. They're both extremely good players.

Who?

The big teams have better - Likes of Barca / RM / Bayern wouldent touch them.
Mid level teams usally spend like £3-5M and find bargains - Like Michu for example.
The smaller teams wont be able to afford the price of the english players

Also i said "Good teams" , No one would pay the ludicrous amounts of money needed for a bunch of shit players.

English players talent comes , And it goes again.

Remember that kid barkley? , He rose onto the scene pretty well didnt he? , Next Messi right there , Whats he up to now?

Getting booed by his own supporters for being shit.

Harry kane is the next rising star , Guranteed he wont live up to his hype , And if he does then guranteed he wont be here for much longer.

Players dont care about being here , They care about being wherever the money / trophies are NOT playing in there home country.

I'm pretty sure teams like Wolfsburg, Juventus, Dortmund, Athletico Madrid, AS Roma, Valencia would happily take on players like Sturridge and Wilshere. Just because they wouldn't make it into the Barcelona or Real Madrid team, doesn't render them a "bad player"

What's Ross Barkley doing? Nothing much, just playing for Everton and England... Nothing too much. Already playing at the pinnacle of English football, at the age of 21.

Harry Kane will certainly be England standard, he may not be scoring 20+ goals a season, but he'll still be a highly regarded player.

Some players care about where they play. Take a look at Paul Scholes, he could of played for the likes of Inter Milan, Real Madrid etc. same with Alan Shearer, Tony Adams, Steven Gerrard, the list goes on.

Wow you mentioned like 3-4 people xD , Harry kane will certaintly be england standard?

Wow england standard huh? , Thats the pinnecal of success right there.

Barkley playing for everton who are shit this season and england , Again man thats crazy
Being booed by his own fans , Wow such a talent.

Wolfsburg, Juventus, Dortmund, Athletico Madrid, AS Roma, Valencia would happily take on players like Sturridge and Wilshere.

So wolfsburg - Who have Dost one of the best STs in europe right now would overpay for a injuried more than he plays daniel sturridge?

Dortmund who cant even hold on to there own players are going to waste 30m + on DS?

Im sure Juventus would take DS over Tevez

Valencia being linked with Mata for like 28M , Would be happy to take on Wilshere who would probbally be that price or more and is shit?

Im sure Juve would be happy to sign Wilshere after Pogba and Vidal leave , And every other target turns them down and they have to find some shit player just to come in.

BVB would wilshere over Gundogan im sure

I think youre getting confused between players not wanting to leave their country because they don't want to leave their comfort zone and them staying in England because they are playing in the best league in the world.

Im sure if Madrid, Barca or Munich bid for Sturridge or Wilshere, they'd happily leave.

Exactly what i said.

The reason those players are not in different leauges are because there not good enough for the top clubs , If the top clubs came in for them they would be gone.

Agreed with the Barca and Real Madrid, but Bayern aren't a pulling power like the other two.
As a young footballer you either say I'd love to play in the BPL or Liga BBVA not the bundesliga.

I can't see any 1st team United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man city players heading over to Bayern Munich if they wanted them. They have good players but the majority of their players are German, so it's easy for them to move to the biggest German club.

There is genuinely a rumour going around at the moment that Glen Johnson will join Barca in summer when his contract runs out...

It came from a Spanish report so obviously I don't know how reliable that is.

They are either crazy or recruiting ball boys

If I was in the position to chose between Bayern and Chelsea, with Bayern offering 100k more per week, I'd choose Chelsea.
