Good , Honestly dont think Pep is the manager everyone thinks he is , Good manager? , Yes , The best? absolutely not.

I take it you think Mourinho is the best manager in the world ??

100%.

Look at the clubs he has managed

Porto , Chelsea (When we were not the team we are now) , Inter , Real (Apart from Real) all teams that he HAD to build himself.

Pep had Barca and Bayern whos teams were pretty much built for him.

LVG is like 10 years older and according to stats online , LVG has won 19 trophies , JM 21 (According to Wiki) and LVG is 10 YEARS OLDER.
As well as this LVG has only been succusfull at 1 small club - Ajax where he won the champs leauge and eridivise , However at AZ he only won the Eredivise.

The champs leauge is the best of the best , Prove yourself here and you will cement your legacy in history , LVG has 1 (Playing with Ajax , Bayern , Barca ,Az) and Jose has 3 (Playing with Porto , Chelsea , Inter and RM)

dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/40...e-Mourinho

Who else can you compare with him , Diego simone (A amazing manager) simply cannot comapare to him in this stage of his career , Neither can Kloop , The less said about Arsene wenger the better.

The next (And IMO) the closest guy to compare him with - Carlo

sportskeeda.com/slideshow/footbal...ast-decade

Read that to see why Jose mourinho is the better manager (And btw i fully respect carlo and think he is also at the very top re best managers)

So unless you want me to compare him to someone who has retired , Again Alex fergie is a great manager.

JM has played 700 games and won 21 trophies (That doesent include our leauge cup or Leauge trophy this season)

Fergie has played 2200 games and won 44

Therefore in 1400 games JM can win the same amount of trophies as fergie in 2200.

fergie has 20 more trophies but is 20 years older than JM

Fergie also said himself in a interview that JM could easily catch and suparass the career that he had.

So yeah i think he is the best in the world and thats just looking at trophies , If you look at other things like

Transfer policy
Team management
Interviews / press conferences
How he left chelsea a team that was ready for the next 10 years (Instead of leaving your club at a point where you had the worst team you had in years)

Theres no manager close to JM and in 10-20 years when JM decides to retire at the age of Alex ferguson everyone will see he truley is the best manager in the world.

As with everything however , People only truley appreciate the greats when they retire , Why would you / other people be saying "Jose is the best manager in the world" as he is a manager of your opposition , When he retires and becomes "Neutral" to a point everyone will be licking his arse and saying how great he truly was.

Now if you would like to argue my points (More than willing to do so) please dont just type "OMG Fergie or LVG or whoever is better , Provide stats and a balanced input like i have above)

I'd agree JM is currently the best manager in the world.

But no way could he replicate what Fergie done at one club, which hadn't won the league for over 20 years before he came. He might overtake his trophy count, I don't think he will but it's a possibility.
I'd like to see Jose stay with chelsea for 26 years and win 38 trophies.
And then get Chelsea to biggest club in the world.

I think the trophy count is easily there for JMs taking , He just needs to win 1 trophy a year for 20 years.
JM will stay at chelsea now for a number of years and he will prove himself , I think him and fergie were 2 different types of managers (Fergie stayed at one club and became a legend there) while mourinho has short stints with alot of clubs and become a legend in multiple places , Porto and inter would im sure consider him a ledgend , Real madrid maybe not but chelsea 100%.

Cant wait for the game tonight , If i have some cash going to put it all on chelsea to win (1.70 odds to beat hull is crazy )

**** i thought we were playing Hull , It says leicster vs chelsea too xD , I just didnt realise i wasent paying attention i just thought we were playing Hull haha , Guess it makes sense we are playing Leiscter though as thats our game in hand.

But yeah i meant Leicester.

I want to put some cash on it too , But as ive been making alot of money betting , Ive been spending alot , Ive ordered so much on amazon , Bought a bunch of clothes and had a few nights out with the cash ive been making from betting , Im just sure there will be a point where i lose alot so im getting more and more nervous of lumping on a team haha + if i put cash on chelsea and we lose / draw its a double negative.

Probbally will put £20-50 on it though depending on how much i have in the bank , Got like £25 from £5 in my betting account now so should be able to go for the £50 bet which is £37 returns.

Obvious Chelsea fan, Guardiola is a lot better manager. 2 less trophies than Mourinho and Mourinho has managed double the matches he has.

Don't talk about about Guardiola had ready teams set for him, if that was the case Frank Rijkaard would of dominated with Barcelona but he didn't, nowhere near to what Guardiola did. When the two have faced each other Guardiola has gotten the better of Mourinho, wasn't like Mourinho didn't have a good team when he played Guardiola.

Mourinho was beaten 5-0 at home by Guardiola, shows the difference.

Ask any team in the world who'd they would prefer and they'd say Guardiola, better manager and plays good football, nobody wants to see their team parking the bus and their manager embarrassing their club like Mourinho does, much rather win whilst playing nice football with a classy manager.

Is 360Motion (A UTD fan , Who rarely if ever agrees with me / chelsea fans) "Obviously a Chelsea fan" as well? , Many would agree with me that Jose is better.

Pep had Barca and Bayern , Two of the most dominat clubs in world football , While Jose has taken Porto , Inter and Chelsea to the very top.

Titles arent won in head to head (Jose vs Pep).

Pep has had everything handed to him , His playing career allowed him to get into barcelonas lower teams , Coaching and learning to coach with the best facilitys available , He was then brought up to barcelona without managing other clubs and handed one of the most dominant teams in history , He then was handed bayern (Which he deservered) however again it was handed to him , And he went to another dominant team , You take pep to somewhere like inter milan , Porto and ask him to do what Jose did , I can gurantee you he would be shown up.

Tbh I have to side with Designs. You talk about how we cant use the argument that Pep has had teams set out for him, well to a degree, he has. You're using Frank Rijkaard as an example, well he had the misfortune to be managing (which was then admittedly a strong side) against one of the strongest Galactico sides the world has ever seen. Thats like saying LVG is shit because hes not beating Chelsea with a fairly strong United team.

Also, Bayern have always dominated, right back to as far as I can remember, no matter what manager they've had domestic and european success, Pep, Jupp Heynckes, LVG and so on, all won numerous major titles. In fact, if you look at their record all the way back to 1996, there has only been 3 separate years where Bayern didn't win a major championship, with 9 different managers. So yeah, I don't think you can judge Pep's managerial ability on his Bayern career.

This isn't to say for a minute that I think Guardiola is a bad manager, but Jose has proved himself at the top level with clubs that didnt have any business being there, and he came from pretty much nowhere, especially when he won the champo league with Porto. Where-as Designs is right in saying Pep was fed opportunities from playing at Barca, and was able to use them to become manager of an already very strong club, with no real competition bar a less strong Madrid, even in Europe there was barely any competition to match Barcelona's strength in Pep's earlier years, where-as now its a lot more open.

I have to agree with Designs on this one, in my mind Mourinho has proved he's the top coach in world currently.
I do agree he's been playing very defensive football which is boring to watch. But you can't argue he hasn't done an amazing job this season.

Just seen this , And while yes it is quite a shock , Not as much as people make out.

I dont see it happening (Ovbiosuly) but i think Mikel would be a good player for alot of mid tier / top clubs.

Just IMO

IMO can compare it to the Hernandez situation , quite a shock but both players can do a job.

Statistically, Guardiola has won a title/trophy every 18 matches, that is insane.

And please please please, do not try and suggest that JM is a better manager than Fergie was, that is one of the more ridiculous statements you've churned out on this thread!
