Thoughts of you guys on Stones to Chelsea? I'll personally be pretty unhappy if it goes through. Not only is his value heavily influenced by the English player price premium but with Zouma and Christensen in the squad, there's no need.

I'm a little sick of Chelsea's priority on immediate impact leading to a neglect for academy prospects. We had an obvious problem last year. Whilst playing strong teams, the 4-2-3-1 would be re-shaped to a 4-3-3 style with Fabregas playing the spearhead of a midfield trio. Ramires/Mikel would partner Matic and it would lead to problems. Equally, even against smaller teams, Fabregas lacked the defensive capabilities necessary to make us unbreakable. There's an obvious and simple answer to this problem, Ruben Loftus-Cheek. I guarantee that if Wenger, Fergie or any other manager willing to take risks on youth had control of this Chelsea squad, Loftus would have started 10+ games for us. Sure, there's a chance that it'll go wrong and he won't be able to step up to the level required for the premier league but the careers of the greats didn't start off with 2 minute champions league substitute appearances for 3 seasons. Managers took risks on them. Mourinho needs to start doing that.

He said that if Baker, Brown and Solanke don't play, he's a failure. Now is the time for words to become actions. Have faith in what we have.

I'll be perfectly happy if we sign nobody else in the transfer window (except a new full back because I'm not sure we have enough quality depth there) providing the young guys get their chance.

Imagine if we hadn't put faith in the class of 92. Only English team to win the treble, brought about by a bunch of academy players that got actual game time to partner greats.

Can see this happening with Wislon, Januzaj, Lingaard, Pereira. Not the treble, but coming through the ranks together. Possibly Blackett and McNair joining them, too.

Hugely jealous of the risks United took in their youth. The rewards you guys reaped were deserved.

Shame our club use youth as a business model rather than a footballing model

Were a one off. No English team will do what we did ever again, football is more a buisness than a game at the mo.

Treble won by youth players that came through together, fairy tale that.

I'm not sure about it never happening again. It seems awfully unlikely at the moment but maybe the higher powers in English football will finally instate a high minimum English players requirement for BPL teams at some point. Sure it'll set the league back a few years but it did a great deal for Spanish football. Long term, if the current structure stays, the English national team will fade away in to obscurity.

We're the only top 4 team that still uses youth's in our first team. Admitedlly it was due to injury but it's regular to see McNair, Blackett, Wilson, Januzaj hitting the first XI several times per season at the mo.

Need all teams to give youth a chance in the thick of the action, how else are they gonna progress.

Tomas Kalas has signed a new 3 year contract with Chelsea, I like this as I think he's a good prospect. Maybe a solution for Luis leaving as he can play CD or LB.

Mourinho said after the game that Moses and Traore are in his plans for the upcoming season along with Loftus-Cheek, which he confirmed a while back. He also said he sees Salah's future away from the club.

Greatest moment in footballing history, gives me goosebumps.

The famous quote, "Can United score? They always score".

Good utility player. I will forever remember his performance against Liverpool.

Potentially a LB replacement. Equally Ake can play LB if required. Sooner or later, we need to breed a LB and ready Azpi for a return to RB. I don't think Iva will be able to play fullback for many more years consistently.

That said, I adore Iva and would like to see him one day return to CB.

We were ready to pay 14 million for Augsburg left-back Baba when we have players who could rotate to that stop in the team.
