CompleteDesigns wrote Messi will never be the worlds greatest footballer unless he proves himself in another leauge IMO, Why does he need to prove it in another league, when he's destroyed top teams from other leagues in the UCL. La Liga is second strongest behind BPL in terms of competitiveness, he would destroy bundesliga, ligue 1 and Serie A. If teams like United and City can't deal with him, then teams like Stoke or Schalke from different leagues might as well not turn up to play against him. For me the best. |

May be teams should learn how to double man mark Messi, then they might start to contain him. Just like Chelsea did in 2012 |

BigRedMachine wroteCompleteDesigns wrote Messi will never be the worlds greatest footballer unless he proves himself in another leauge IMO, Ok so lets say , A completly average team , 5/10 rated players all across the park but you have the pick of Ronaldo Messi you would be insane to pick Messi, Ronaldo is a machine , I read somewhere earlier about Ronaldo doesent do all the fancy shit he used to do , And messi does , Thats maybe why he isnt named the best,Ronaldo now is not that type of player , He is ruthless , He is efficient and he goes straight for goal. If i had one player out of messi and Ronaldo , A completly average team otherwise , I wouldent even think about it , Ronaldo has everything, He can head the ball , He can rocket a shot , He can skill past someone if needed , He has power , He is faster than messi , Stronger, Ronaldo has proved himself in multiple leauges. We have found a way to stop Messi , Never scoring us against us , And we are ahead of other clubs but they catch up eventually , If he played in the PL every week teams would adapt i guarantee it (Am i saying he would be shit , Obviously not) but IMO the impact Ronaldo would have on a team is miles better than messi, Honestly i dont see it us a competition, Ronaldo as a athlete is a hundred times better than Messi , His dedication , Determination , Drive etc is far superior to Messis, |

CompleteDesigns wroteBigRedMachine wroteCompleteDesigns wrote Messi will never be the worlds greatest footballer unless he proves himself in another leauge IMO, To improve on my point above , You can adapt to messi because he doesent a plan B , He cant try and dribble/skill past you 1 half and then after that doesent work , Start to try outmuscle you , Or try win aerial duels with you. How you going to stop Ronaldo? With his power wth his pace with his strength with his skills with his shots with his FKs |

CompleteDesigns wrote Messi will never be the worlds greatest footballer unless he proves himself in another leauge IMO,In your view maybe, not in the eyes of many. I'd say proving himself at international level is a better case or your arguement. He's one of the best ever regardless, but some of the other names brought up as the best ever did it at club and international level. Messi has only did it at club level. The comparison between who is the better player is stupid, both play differently and have different traits, both are two of the greatest players. Everyone has their opinion who is better, and really it's pointless to argue. BigRedMachine wrote May be teams should learn how to double man mark Messi, then they might start to contain him. Just like Chelsea did in 2012You're obsessed, we get it, you're a big Chelsea fan. You're not the only team to stop him. World doesn't stop at Stamford Bridge. |
