BigRedMachine wrote So Pre season 3 defeats and our 2 wins both from penalties, hope for change against Swansea

It's commonplace in recent Chelsea history.

I wouldn't read in to it too much. We should look more up for it by the time the Swansea game comes round.

Tbh I'm more worried about the the number of players that don't look physically ready for the season. Matic was all over the place, hazard was dead, Oscar physically good but not technically. Falcao was ,making good runs and his movement was very good but he had no help from the midfield, whereas Remy half the time was just completely static. Costa injured and Mourinho doesn't know if he will be fit for Sunday. Mikel was very poor and I know even he can do better than his performance today, extremely sluggish. Moses seems to be the only players 100% physically ready, our best player in pre season.

You're right. We look like we could do with one or two more pre-season matches. That said, I'm not sure Matic was that bad. Hazard looked leggy and ineffective. He even looked a little disinterested. Yes, he's very talented but I expect a lot more when the season starts.

Remy dies off easily in game but the service to all of our strikers has been poor. Without Costa, we need Hazard and Willian in form otherwise we could trip up at Swansea.

Also we still are poor with our crosses of the ball, last pre season it was exactly the same, we can't get them into the box.

Matic was not being himself, instead of doing what he does best and looking for space and distributing the ball he was trying to run past players more often, also when he had the ball he seemed to invite more players on like he wanted the ball to be taken from him. Remy has to prove himself, at the moment he's a sub at best but with uncertainty on Costa he may have to start vs Swansea.

The 3 behind the striker in my opinion should be Hazard and Moses on the wings and Willian in the centre, Moses deserves to start imo and Willian seems to thrive more in the CAM role. I still think Oscar needs to improve. Fabregas doesn't do well in the 10 role and will again probs have to play deep alongside Matic.

Never really aged Moses but at the moment he should get selected for the team because no one else seems like there Intrested.

Why not get rid of Mikel he is so shit.

Diego better be fit for Swansea because if we play like we've been playing Swansea will beat us. It's only pre-season and I hope we improve from this.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa will miss the start of the season with a hamstring problem and the Blues are unsure when he will be able to return.

Not good news if this is true.

The reason Mikel stays is because Mourinho knows he's the perfect park the bus player, if mou wants the team to shut the game down you always see him throw on Mikel to partner Matic in the last 20 or so minutes of a game.

Anyone else see the Messi headbutt and grap last night? If someone like Costa had done that the Internet would be going crazy and calling for a long ban

Same with Rooney. Disgraceful from Messi, warrants a 3 game ban.

Yeah should be a three game ban. Rakitics goal though, what an absolute beauty.
