But if it was for a holding midfielder who needs to provide long balls and leadership then id go for carrick no questions asked!

United all ready have a player like that in Schneiderlin, effectively with Carrick playing they're near enough the same player. City have that in Fernandinho and Fernando but Toure is obviously going to start ahead of Fernando so that's why I had to compare Toure and Carrick as United don't have a Toure type player.

JS - No one can compare to the way carrick plays...

Yaya is so inconsistent and he's box to box. Therefore you compare him to our old box to box, IE Schweinsteiger. I also agree, in this league, Yaya > Schweinsteiger.

Kompany > smalling for now, i do agree.

Kolarov > Shaw, if you base this on last season, yes I agree.

Schneiderlin > Fernandinho, obviously.

Silva > Mata, again, agreed, Silva is one of the best players in the PL. He's magnificent.

Sterling > Young, disagreed, Young was integral to our great performances.

Memphis > Navas, agreed, obviously.

Aguero > Rooney, again, agreed.

Left De Gea off since De Gea is the best in the league. Combined XI in 4-3-3 would be this for me:

De Gea
Darmian Smalling Kompany Shaw
Yaya Schneiderlin Silva
Young Aguero Memphis

That's a scary looking team lol

Just stuck £5 on Stoke to beat Spurs at 4/1 not bad odds of you think about the players Stoke has now.

Whilst I rate Carrick as one of the best CM's in the league, I left him out due to the amount of injuries and length of time he has out.

Tbh, Young + Fellaini link up really well too haha

I have to agree with you on that, Carrick does suffer a hell lot of injuries...

I do also rate fellaini , as he has settled in to the club and started to show class like he did back at evertor... - that was the whole point why moyes bought him!
