You forgot to mention the part where Perez said that Man United said De Gea was not for sale up until deadline day.


He was always going to be for sale I'm sure all of us knew United were waiting for the right amount to be bided then he could go I even placed a £50 bet he was going to leave because I was certain United were going to let him go at one point when the right bid was bidded, Madrid just being Madrid though they could keep low balling us with stupid prices

??????? Don't be a bean, since when has a player who is "not for sale" not been bid for? It is completely Madrid's fault, Perez just doesn't like the fact he didn't get his own way.

He thought that since it was deadline day he'd get a cut price, United had none of it. Good on us for actually doing this, cause now De Gea will likely sign a new contract and Madrid will have to pay a world record fee next season for him.


Perez is just a little **** ole and throwing his toys out of the pram. I've noticed he's now come out and said we had enquired about Bale, Varane and Benzema. Funnily enough, none of which were subject to a bid from us. I think he's trying to save face, he could've come in at the start of the transfer window and gone £35m for De Gea, and we would've sold and he'd be happy.

If you've seen the pictures what do Chelsea fans and others think about what the new Stamford Bridge will look like?

I think the design looks fantastic, it's something completely different and unique and I can see why Roman is putting half a billion pounds towards it. I believe it's going to be called The Cathedral of Football and the club is adopting a medieval approach with it, I believe it's made out of brick and stone, and obviously metal in areas. Due to the material being used, the noise will seem louder, providing we have an improved atmosphere, it's around 60,000 capacity. Here's an article with the pics

The older design is just the shell of the stadium, it will still have the modern design on the inside. It's just something completely different which is nice to see, I think it's going to take 3 years to be completed, starting in 2017.

Ive looked into the stadium , seems like we are really making sure this is going to be a amazing stadium for the future (and past) of our club and fans are a huge part of this project.

exciting times ahead for CFC fans.

My theory is the reason why Roman brought Jose back to the bridge is obviously to win trophies but also because of this new stadium and the amount of money Roman is putting towards it. Because nothing might have been said about it from the club but in my eyes and others, the new stadium is the reason why we haven't splashed the cash as much this transfer window,mans probably won't until the stadium is complete, not saying the club won't spend anything at all, but I think it will be less compared to the previous 10 years. Now I think the stadium is the main other reason as to why Jose is here for the long term, because Roman in my eyes has matured as the owner of Chelsea, he knows now you can't just splash the cash every window and also I think now, he knows you can't win every trophy every season , because it's just not possible with how competitive the Premier league is, not just with Chelsea's title contenders but with all the other clubs, and now he will know in is league, any team can beat another team at some point. This leads on to my point that Roman knows Jose is the best man for the job, to firstly win trophies but to also carry us through this time where possibly the club may not be able to win the league every season, but knows Jose can keep the club in the top four with limited money compared to previous years but he also knows Jose can win trophies with limited money because he's that good of a manager. For example let's look at Mourinho's two UCL trophy wins, he won the competition with Porto and Inter with good squads? Yes, but were they the best squads? Definitely not. The possible chance of the club having limited money to spend on players could also mean the chance of more youth players coming through the ranks, the club has a very talented youth squad at the moment, with some in the first team, not all will make it but the ones who are good enough will definitely have a chance to break through.

Probably missed out stuff but that's just my theory/opinion of what things could be like until the stadium is completed in 2020 for the club.

Finished 20 points ahead? They'd do that in the Prem aswell lol, that team that won the league would beat every team in England and possibly Europe except Barca imo.

Yes the premier league is unpredictable but i agree Bundesliga might not be the best for use to watch but they way the fans act in Germany is something else even after Dortmund had a bad season most there season tickets sold out on the first day of being out and as for Bayern the season tickets are cheap so they sell out first day and it's always packed.

You said something about 20 points clear but no team has won the Bundesliga 4 years in a row and Bayern are after that this season.

There is competition and I'm glad Dortmund are back on form, Wolfsburg are a great team and the Bundesliga has never looked better.

Anyway it's my opinion not yours.

Possibly, but I'm not sure wether longevity is Mourinho's top priority. I, for some reason, see him back at Madrid one day.

I remember once he was banned from the stadium for a game, so managed to get himself in a laundry basket and go for the pre game team talk through that. Classic Mourinho, super passionate.
