1980 80" Shovelhead FLH rebuild.
I crashed the bike in June, my front fender loosened up on the parkway, sucked into my front wheel and ejected me from the bike at 55mph (ouch) stock cam, valvetrain, head freshly rebuilt, ported & 0.005" taken off the head, as well as 20 thous over hone job, rebuilt gear case, and installment of all new seals. Motor has less than 2k on the top end, about 50k on the lower end. She's a strong Shovel. Anyways, it's come a long way! Not finished just yet, but very close. Looking forward to jumping on this beautiful beast and hitting the road with no destination, cross country, down south, who knows where the road will take me! (it wasn't reliable enough before to take long distances lol) https://i.imgur.com/F4zpg1t.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FhFaX36.jpg https://i.imgur.com/X8DlRtB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jAP3txo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mDRm6z4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8IBp36l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/J0SPZbZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vA0Ztw9.jpg My custom ghost flame paint job, done locally by a long time family friend - same guy who did the originally flame masking 37 years ago! https://i.imgur.com/N5BMV1T.jpg Throw back from when it was my Dads bike and I was a little kid. 18 years ago! https://i.imgur.com/XHHjPD2.jpg #Shovelheadsforever https://i.imgur.com/KYmt9m2.png |
