So just few minutes ago I was driving coming up to a light getting ready to make a left hand turn and as I was getting in that left lane to turn I think my mirror tapped another car barely and I didn't hear it and then the car tried to follow me aggressively and Then I just took off , & he couldn't keep up so I hit couple corners and stuff and got away
Is This considered hit and run if I didn't know my mirror tapped his car I don't have any scratches or paint exchange on my mirror either I Live In Florida Btw |

If you hit another car EVEN if its accidental, and you flee, that is still considered a hit and run. You just made a small problem develop into a bigger problem and screwed yourself big time mainly for fleeing. Pretty sure the guy tailing you was getting your plate down if he was smart enough.
Just because there's no scratches on your mirrors doesn't mean "big brother" didn't catch the incident on camera. Don't get your hopes up thinking you're safe. |

Weather damage was done or not, you're are supposed to stop for any sort of collision when two motor vehicles are involved. Even if it's something where your mirrors kissed but nothing was broken, it is still classified as a collision and therefore you need to stop and exchange information.
At this point you've opened yourself up to a big issue if they do catch you. Even though no damage was done, you ran so he can make any story he wants. He can claim the your mirror drug across the side of his car or wherever there is damage and get it fixed on your dime. It will automatically be your fault since you fled. Whenever you have a collision no matter how minor or major, ALWAYS stop, get their information (if they will not give you a name, insurance card, or phone number, get their plate number), and take pictures. Never admit guilt, just show your ID and proof of insurance and ask for theirs and take pictures of it. Even if they don't want to show theirs, you still show yours and don't use it as an argument of "I'm not showing mine if you don't show yours" because then you're wilfully neglecting to show insurance. Once insurance and ID has been seen and photoed, take pictures of any damage and try to get land marks in your picture. What I mean by that is try to get both cars in the same photo, or a pole with a flier on it or something, that way they can't say it was taken at a different time in a different place. Once all that is done, then call your insurance and explain the situation. DO NOT wait for them to contact you! In all insurance contracts, you are contracted to tell them about all collisions, if you don't then they are liable to drop your coverage and then you become high risk which means you pay more for insurance. Long story short, yes it was a hit and run, don't do it again. |

You can't say you think you got his car then say you didn't know you got the car therefore you must have known you did or you wouldn't have took off always stop save yourself further trouble |

if there was no damage then stopping wouldn't be a problem. People don't have time to make insurance claims for things like that, I'm sure he just wanted to intimidate you. |

Honestly my man,
you should be fine. You should have pulled over and talked to the driver instead of driving off like a weirdo, but all is well that ends well.. Are you in jail right now it's been a couple years? |
