Well, haven't really been EXTREMELY active on the Forums as much as I was a year ago but I still pop in every now and then, sell stuff, etc etc.
Some of you may have known me before as Lily, Lumbridge, Ancestor or any other of the many names I've had over the possible 2 years since I became active on the site again. I came back to the site with the hope of buying an RGH and making money in today's date, was kinda stupid and just sold it forward on eBay without paying eBay their fee because screw eBay, right? I stuck around because I genuinely liked seeing my post count go up. But, if I can be completely honest, I moved away from the site during this year because from the start of September to the end of October, I was severely depressed and couldn't stand up from my bed to do anything other than eat something or distract my troubled mind with videogames. I didn't go out, didn't attend my college classes and only left my house to go to work or to make everything seem alright to my loved ones so they wouldn't worry. TTG also helped me distract myself whenever I actually logged on, I would read this section and the Off-Topic Discussion sections and I'd find a thing or two to laugh at or a topic that would keep my mind busy. And for that, TTG, I thank you. You're all a great community full of weebs, nerds, gamers but on top of that, you're all great people. With the help of the college counselors and college psychologists, I managed to pull out of that state of mind while being embarrassed that I actually went through that... being a psychology student myself. Please, I implore you and I'm taking this thread in a totally different direction than just being a milestone, if you NEED help when going through tough times with your emotions and thoughts, SEEK HELP. You're not alone, you have friends and family who love you and would hate to see you in that depressed state but they will NEVER abandon you. If you need someone to talk to, someone to vent to or simply just someone to talk about anything with, my PMs are available and I have Discord; ask for my Discord add and we can talk about whatever it is you need to talk about. Don't fight depression alone and don't be afraid to express yourself about your thoughts and emotions. I hope you all have a great day and have an awesome holiday season! And thanks for reading. |
