okay so my buddy wants me to build him a gaming computer for 650 i have a general idea of what i should get. He wants to go to our local microcenter and just buy everything there so he can have it today. I was thinking about what I could spec him up for about 650. im thinking something along the lines of a 1050ti with a r3 but im gonna do more poking around on the website. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Details and usage:
he doesn't need any peripherals.
no streaming video editing.
he just wants to play average games like fortnite and newer tripple a titles.
hes playing at 1080p.
We live in the us, so for currency we use usd.

Ryzen 5 2600 - should be about $150, might be able to get a good motherboard bundle/deal.

AsRock B450M Pro 4 and B450 Pro 4 are good budget motherboards to consider. MSI B450 Tomahawk if you want something a little higher end.

Should be able to get 16GB 3000/3200MHz RAM for like $120 now so aim for that, 8GB will suffice if necessary.

Grab a Samsung 500GB 860 EVO unless there's a far cheaper 480-512GB SSD available. Add the cheapest 7200RPM HDD in whichever capacity you require.

Case will depend on your location. Cooler Master Q300L is a good starting place, fairly widely available AFAIK. The Q300L is a good budget mATX case, so will work well with the B450M Pro4 but obviously you'll need a larger case if you get an ATX mobo. Just look at the $40-60 options in your store.

For PSU, Corsair CXM grey label. The 450W variant would do and is stupid cheap sometimes, but the 550W and 650W variants are sometimes not much more so just get whichever is best value. Shouldn't be more than $50-60.

For GPU, grab a Polaris card. RX 570's and 580's are silly cheap, plus they're still bundled with a couple of free games I think. Should be able to get an RX 570 under $150 ez, or RX 580 under $180.
