Does anyone have an RTX graphics card?

If so what one do you have? Are you happy with it, what did you upgrade from any issues?

I'm thinking of upgrading from a 1060 6GB to a 2080 (not sure what specific 2080 yet, potentially the EVGA XC Ultra). I have been looking for a 1080ti but the only UK based ones I can find are either too sketchy or close to the price of a brand new 2080.

Any advice or help would be appreciated

My friend "crosshair" has one and he upgraded from an awful little dell laptop with integrated graphics. All he plays is usually rust that's the most needing game i've ever seen him play. But apparently the card runs really hot so you may want to make sure that your cooling setup is good.

I upgraded recently from a GTX 970 to an RTX 2080.
I was going to go for a GTX 1080 Ti but the prices were too similar and considering the 1080 Ti is the same price as the RTX 2080 now, there was no point not getting the very marginal improvements in performance as well as the RTX capabilities.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the card (I bought an MSI Duke 8GB OC for reference). Typically, it runs at around 50-60C when under full load and I must say I am glad I bought it. I upgraded the rest of my rig as well so that will also help but I am getting very good performance and, whilst it is expensive, I would recommend the 2080. The 2080 Ti is too expensive to justify imo.

I had a 970 rig as well, what cpu did you end up going with? I was thinking of upgrading to a 2080 and a new cpu.

I upgraded from an AMD FX-8320 to a Ryzen 7 2700X. Quite a big jump!

I have been wanting to upgrade my CPU for ages but that meant also upgrading motherboard and RAM which is why it has taken so long. Instead of only upgrading a few things I went in hard and dropped £2,000 on an entirely new rig lol

If you want to run an Intel build instead of Ryzen the

i7 8086k or the i7 8700k are both really nice CPU's

I went ahead and got the ASUS ROG strix 2080, fits nicely and runs great.

Haven't changed the colours yet.

Went from a 1080 Ti to a 2080 Ti and the upgrade was negligible for the price.

Going the 2080 or even with the newly announced 2060 would be a better route.
