Nothing happened to me. People tend to try and target me now so when I shut them down they get upset thinking "You changed" when really I am just annoyed.

Target is a big word, it's more of people having the idea that staff only speak to friends. Which isn't completely false.

Jay wrote @All Can you bring speed back for us? Would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know speed all too well, but having him back would probably benefit the site more than anything, having a proficient programmer on the staff team is incredibly helpful in the long run. Guy is probably making great leaps in his career though so hopefully he comes back once he's a millionaire.

My only purpose in life is to achieve maxed on Old School RuneScape.

James wrote @Jimbo: how were you approached with the opportunity to be staff again?

I felt like I was ready to be active again and once I showed that to the admins I got in touch with Sean and he offered me to come back. Funny story... Tom and friends decided to let Sean know that I wanted to be staff again and things got awkward, but that's basically how I got my spot back.

I favor this.

I'm from Florida, USA and I currently am out of a job but I am going to college studying Information Technology. I had to quit my job because it was affecting my RuneScape experience gains.

What did you have in mind?

Tom wrote @ Sean When are we going to push out these bigger updates rather than continuing to grab smaller ideas to make the site better (ex, badges, rep system, etc) or making Discord a bigger picture than TTG.

We focus on one thing at a time right now we've just finished redoing alot of the downloads area almost doubling the amount of content it has in 15 days that was a huge task.

To be blunt the community is very entitled when it comes to updates other sites around us make next to no changes for years and years where we've always been a development heavy website since we built every single thing you see.

Websites running Xenforo, vB, Wordpress etc get their updates free and done for them but we have to upgrade every inch of what you see so a lot of the work you wont even see it's important to remember that we develop, maintain and own our Engine/CMS.

Updates to Discord will happen when we feel like it, Discord does not pay us, Discord does not pay the bills nor does it help the site in anyway the Discord only helps Discord the company so its not seen as important.

I want the IM system dead, deleted and its grave pissed on being replaced by a new PM system that will thread the PM's and show read and unread markers. Allowing more than one user in a PM would also be something I want.

The goal is to make the PMs more real time.

Groups for TTG is the long term goal now, I want people to be able to create their own community on top of the TTG platform so a user could create pubg.thetechgame.com and run their own PUBG community using the tools we have. each group would allow invites or open for anyone to join it has its own shoutbox, its own forum and news feed.

TTG would then allow a Rev share with the community owner.

To be honest I know people say this all the time and don't really mean it but I truly believe this is just the start. the years past have all been about learning if I knew all the things I know now at the start we would have been able to avoid many of the growing pains but now everything is running just fine and I have long term goals to expand way beyond where we are now.
