It's explainable mathematically by the amount of moves he permits you to make,
It would be impossible in 7 moves to end on the house card given the positions of the O and the straight face, it would require an even amount and so counting to 7 removes the possibility of landing on the House allowing him to eliminate it. Then the only positions you could remain on within 7 moves from the starting positions would be; the V, the waves, the arrows, the happy face. This means the positions guaranteed that not 1 person is on is the O, the straight face and the Q. He then counts to 3, where every single person watching is guaranteed to either be on the V, the waves, the arrows or the happy face. 4 positions, making 3 moves. Making 3 moves from the V position means you could be on; the O, the straight face, the Q. Therefore if on the V position you cannot move to the waves, the arrows or the happy face or back to the V. Making 3 moves from the waves position means you could be on; the O, the straight face, the Q. Therefore if on the Wave position you cannot move to the arrows, the happy face, or the V. Making 3 moves from the Arrows position means you could be on; the O, the straight face, the Q. Therefore if on the Arrows position you cannot move to the Happy face, or the V. Making 3 moves from the happy face means you could be on; the O, the straight face, the Q. Therefore if on the happy face position you cannot move to the arrows, the waves or the V. Therefore, the position that not 1 place can return to in 3 moves is the V card, hence why he removes it. He obviously repeats all the probabilities and so on for the amount of moves he permits you, acting as an eliminator etc... |
