Can anyone help me please with a few tips for quick building? I have been playing the game for a while and my button layout was 'old school'. Since release people have got so good at building that the 1 v 1 battles now take place that high up, i cant compete, as this layout is too difficult to build up, and im bot that quick itself. For the last two days ive changed the buttons to 'combat pro' which has taken a bit of practice. I feel my buildings got better as a reaction to getting shot, but its still not getting me the high ground. As soon as the opponent starts building and gets the high ground, which is very frequent, i am dead. Im an average player but thats where im behind in the better players. I play on the xbox one.

What button layout should i use?
Any other tips?

Thank you

Use builder pro.

Watch streamers on Twitch and what they do. Work out all the edits.

Go into your own creative and just practice, practice and practice. You get unlimited materials in there so it's really good.

Watch some youtube videos on how to improve building. Start basic, perfect 90's and then you'll be in a much better position to compete with the people who can build Disneyland in 0.3 seconds.

Hope this helps.

Yes I Recommend using builder pro I use to use combat pro then I switched to builder pro I'm really glad I did.
I don't think I would of switched if playground never came out because I practised builder pro in playground and I would recommend you to do the same

I would go into Creative mode and practice common builds (90s, Double stair ramp combo, floor wall ramp combo) A lot of build battles all come down to making the least amount of mistakes. Slow down the build, but make sure they are clean builds and you will eventually speed up.
