Anybody interested in Bryce Harper and all the rumors around him?

I mean, talk was strong that he might end up on the Padres, but they just signed Manny Machado to a $300m over 10 year contract. That is way too much money for Machado and doesn't leave them with enough to get Harper safely. Another person with a huge, long contract could hurt them in the long run.

Now it's looking like Harper is going to end up in Philadelphia with the Phillies. I'm not gonna lie, a few months ago that would not have been my guess, but it's looking almost certain now.

I guess the Padres can still be looking at him, and the White Sox are interested as well, but he will be looking for a contract no smaller than $350 million. I think the Padres took a big hit with Machado instead of Harper, Harper is actually worth the money whereas Machado really is not, from a player perspective it is close but for a clubhouse to get a player for 10 years, you want someone to represent you well, Machado is not that.

Where do you think Harper is going to end up? We might know as early as Monday. Do you think he is worth the $350 million he is bound to get? Two big contracts like this in the off season are pretty crazy to see, I'm very excited about the 2019 season.
