My gaming laptop: Acer Predator Helios 300 8th Gen will play games just fine, but out of nowhere, the fps will go from 300 (csgo) to the 20's for a good half minute, and it happens every 2 minutes or so.

-- Things I Have Tried --

1. Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove my graphic drivers, and then I reinstalled them.
2. Removed GeForce Experience
3. Installed the games on my SSD
4. Turned off Game Bar
5. Turned off Game DVR
6. Turned off Game Mode
7. Windows is up to date

Temperatures are normal, usage is normal.

Are you using it while it is plugged in? If not the FPS will dramatically drop, and also their is a lot of issues with your exact type of gaming laptop.

Here is some important things for you to read.

1 - Don't play your games while your battery is lower than 40%

your laptop will use power from the adapter and the battery it self, during the game session, the battery will stay at the percentage that you had when you start playing, specialy in games that demand graphic process. (in case of csgo as it is a CPU game, your battery well keep to charge).

2- Use Throttlestop (aka TS) instead of Intel XTU

Create multi profiles for your laptop on TS for diferent tasks
