Just wanted to know how I can lower my ping on Xbox , I have 100 down, 20 up running an ethernet cable through my xbox. My usual ping for fortnite is 25-37 and for cod its usually 36-46 which isn't sufficient enough. Any way you guys could help? Thanks

The lower the ping = the closer you are to the server.
Youd need to basically be extremely close or have the best type of internet transport cables Its not an easy task unless interference is in the way. |

You can change your ping by having your nat type open and you can also go to speedtest.net and change the server you are on that can be closer to you. It will help you in the long run. Having your nat type open helps you connect to players online that are closer to you, if it's moderate or strict it will find players farther away from you. |

Being a network programmer, when talking about 'round trip time', you need to consider latency Vs response time
you can only handle the latency (hardware) at your home. Somebody spent the time and money to experiment with ethernet types and found that the best was cat6e for consoles.. not cat7. You may be able to see what other routers are available that might be able to process data faster. failing that, move closer to the server |

When's the last time you reset your router?
That might help I saw a guy on Instagram make a video about this a few days ago. His handle is @v1kingtv |

I update my router when needed usually a minor update but never hurts and let's not forget to mention port forwarding and all that jazz. |
