My first vehicle was a 89 GMC Sierra 2wd. I thought I was big timing. Excellent truck that was super easy to work on. I feel like something of that nature is a great start, especially if you are into working on your own vehicle. Upgrades and what not.

Any cheap vehicle with parts that are also cheap. For example, Vaxuhall and Ford in the UK. Don't recommend buying into finance packages or any new cars for your first car.
