I was about to build a pc and here's a list of the parts I was looking to use any advice on changing them?

Motherboard ROG Maximus XI Extreme

CPU (9th gen i9)

Ram sticks VENGEANCE LPX 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3733MHz C17 Memory Kit - Black

Pc case (Corsair obsidian 1000D)

Power supply EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 220-P2-1000-XR 80+ PLATINUM 1000W Fully Modular EVGA ECO Models

Storage (1 VectoTech Portable 4TB External SSD USB 3.0 Rapid Solid State Drive or PNY - 1 960 GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive)

Gpu (1 gtx 2080 ti)

Monitor ASUS - ROG Swift 27" IPS LED 4K UHD G-SYNC Monitor HDR1000 - Black

Was going to get the fans after I got the case and everything.

What's the budget and currency?
What exactly is the system being used for?

I'm assuming the "9th gen i9" is a 9900k? If not, it won't be compatible with the $600 motherboard you've chosen. On that note, why the $600 motherboard? Also, what exactly is the i9 for?
What do you need 64GB RAM for? and why 3733MHz? That's an $800 kit of RAM,over $400 more than you should be paying if you actually needed 64GB RAM.
What about the $500 case and 1000W PSU? Any specific reason for those?
What specific Asus monitor are we talking about here, the 144Hz 4k PG27UQ or is it a 4k 60Hz display?

Also, you're missing a CPU cooler.

No budget really. Us currency. 9th gen i9 is 9900k. $600 motherboard was for when I wanted to do water cooling wanted to go big. I9 for the same reason, go big I wanted the computer to be fast, doing mostly gaming, video editing and graphic design, as well as running a business, I chose the 64gigs of ram because I was told I need as much ram as possible, the case for if I wanted to add more into it, the power because I didn't want to be lacking, I was told you are only as strong as your weakest link.and yes the 144hz monitor. I'm new to building PCs. Trying to figure out the the best of the best here. Wanted it to be bad ass. Willing to back off on some items also willing to up them if need be. I thought the cpu came with a cooler. Shows how much I know lmao.

So, you're looking to build your first ever PC, but are about to drop $6000+ on it? I would reconsider that for sure.

First of all, you definitely have a budget. Maybe it's $10k, maybe it's $500, but you need to set a budget before anything else really.

oakleys711 wrote $600 motherboard was for when I wanted to do water cooling wanted to go big

You don't need a $600 motherboard for that. You also don't need to wait to do that if you're dropping $6k+ on a system, just do it now if you really want to watercool.

oakleys711 wrote I wanted the computer to be fast, doing mostly gaming, video editing and graphic design

Fast for what? You could be playing Fortnite and making memes for all we know, in which case spending $6k+ would be ridiculous. Are you making money from content creation? If not, you don't need an i9 and 64GB RAM. Again, we need to know what exactly it is you're using the system for to be able to recommend anything.

oakleys711 wrote I chose the 64gigs of ram because I was told I need as much ram as possible

Ignore anything else that person tells you, because they are very much wrong. You need as much RAM as you're going to utilise. Even IF you did "need" 64GB RAM, you wouldn't need to spend more than twice the amount you should be paying for 64GB RAM.

oakleys711 wrote the case for if I wanted to add more into it

You don't need a $500 case for that. There are $50 cases with plenty of room these days. The 1000D is a gargantuan case, and ridiculously expensive.

oakleys711 wrote the power because I didn't want to be lacking

Unless you plan on running a 16+ core HEDT CPU and/or multiple GPU's, you don't need a 1000W PSU. For a 9900k and RTX 2080Ti, you're going to be sitting at 400W usage under gaming load.

Guess you would say my budget is 10k what motherboard would you recommend? I am making money off of the content. Streaming, playing games, photoshopping, video editing (movie making), and running quick books and things of the nature to keep up with products and production in my business. I wasn't a big fan of the case that I chose but I didn't know exactly how much room I needed to keep the system cool and for all the components. The reason I didn't look into the fans and water cooling yet because I didn't know jack shit about it. Hell I didn't know much about building the pc itself. I wanted to be able to have high frame rates while streaming on 4K without overloading the system as well. So should I get about a 500w power supply to be safe? And what cpu cooler do you recommend? Don't know how dumb I sound right now but so far the advice is helping. Lol

Not dumb at all, better to get the parts right so you don't end up wasting money. Would hate for someone to spend all that money on a PC and regret it.

So, what programs will you be using? Is most of your income from video editing? If so, you have a lot of choices for CPU tbh, you might be better off with X299 or Threadripper. Do you make most from streaming? If so, X299 would probably be the socket to go with.

You definitely don't need the 1000D, it's a halo product for Corsair. The 500D would make much more sense at $150, but I'd personally get something else. Fractal Design Define R6/Meshify S2, NZXT H700, and the Phanteks Eclipse P600S are all good options in the $150 range. For around $100, the Fractal Design Meshify C, and Cooler Master H500 are solid.

Why exactly are you interested in water cooling? Do you want a custom loop, or do you just like the aesthetic and want a closed loop AIO? If you're interested in doing a custom loop, we can help you choose parts for that as well- the hardest part would be bending the tubes so I'd recommend using flexible tubing to avoid this, at least for now as a beginner. You can always buy hard tubing later and attempt the bends and swap out the flexible tubing if you don't have much trouble with the bends.

For power supply, a good quality 550-650W unit is good for the vast majority of systems. If you're buying an HEDT CPU like Threadripper or X299, and/or using multiple GPU's, then you'll start to need higher wattage units.

I should probably go with the x299 considering that. And I was considering a custom loop with flexible tubing. What would you consider then for the motherboard?

For cooler, you could grab this;

Everything you need for a custom loop. All aluminium though, so you won't be able to add any rads or fittings unless you make sure those are also aluminium. This is a nice, cheap way to get a custom loop set-up by just dipping your toes in, kinda. You'd be paying around the same for a high end CLC AIO like an NZXT Kraken X61 or Corsair H150i Pro anyway. If you do a custom loop, you'll want to buy a cheap air cooler because you'll want to make sure the system is stable on air before you even begin watercooling. Here's a cheap air cooler that will let you at least use the system;

I haven't included a monitor here. Worth noting that you're gonna have a tough time hitting near 100FPS at 4k, even with an RTX 2080Ti. Not sure I'd drop almost $2k on a monitor you're going to have a hard time utilising.
