I would change the PSU for the RMx 450 Watt version and get the RX 580.

Supaplex13 wrote as long as the parts stay the same why would it matter whether I buy them all in 1 week time or over 4 months time?

because the parts shouldn't stay the same if you're building the system in 4 months.

Supaplex13 wrote I'm going to build it in 4 months no matter what, so might aswell try to get a few good deals in the meanwhile, right?

No, that's exactly how you waste money.

Suplaplex13 wrote I'll be careful not to missmatch parts.

That's gonna be pretty hard if you go an buy a bunch of parts that sit around for 3/4 months while you wait to build. For example, if you go buy an R5 2600 and RX 570 now for the system, in 4 months time when you're building and the R5 3600 is out, as well as new AMD and NVidia GPU's, you'll have a pile of last gen hardware that is worth potentially a lot less now than you would have paid for it 4 months prior.

There is also the chance you buy something, don't build for 4 months and then find out that components was dead on arrival and you've had a broken component just sitting in a pile while you waited. Or maybe your plans/financial situation changes in the middle of buying parts, then you either end up with an incomplete system or horribly mismatched parts.

I guess you got some good points, I will postpone ordering anything, but it kindoff feels like all the research has been for nothing :/ Although I did learn a lot the last few days

What's the reasoning behind this? Some guy said to me if the RX 580 costs 20-30 more than the 570 I shouldn't bother going for it.

There are so many GPU's out there now a days and many of them are only $30 for the next one up, especially with the Nvidia lineup. Yes you do get a bit more performance for the RX 580 but at the same time the 550 W PSU isn't needed. That's why I swithced it to the 450 W one and with that extra money why not get the next better GPU that's only $20-$30 more? At this point it's really where you put your foot down on prices and what your happy with; not to mention the RX 580 would last a bit longer.

There is no 450W variant of the RMx. It starts at 550W. You're not wrong about wattage, 450W would be fine. However, you're spending around 75-80 euros for a decent fully modular, 80+Gold rated PSU regardless of wattage.

As for the RX 580, OP was initially considering an APU. GPU performance isn't exactly his main focus. If he really wanted, he'd be able to squeeze a GTX 1660 within budget, which would be a better choice than the RX 580, especially if OP is looking at 580's for more than 200 euros. Since he can get a 570 for 140 euros, it would make no sense to pay 200+ for a 580. If he gets a 580 within 30 euros of the price of a 570, then sure, maybe, but for an extra 60+ euros, absolutely not. Also, the RX 580 will not just "last longer" than an RX 570.

I mean, yeah, a little. If you understand anything a little better though, then I suppose it's not that much of a waste. Either way, better to waste some time learning shit than wasting money on components that are going to end up making no sense.

Just post again in 4 months when you actually have the money and are building a system, then someone will help you with an up to date parts list for your budget.

Yeah sorry about the PSU, I meant the CMX, thank you for clarifying that. Im pretty sure you can get a RX 580 for a few euros more depending on where you buy it. When I say last longer I mean that the performance of it will last longer meaning you can play new AAA games and get decent fps for more year/s.

Yea it's nice to learn a little about something I knew almost nothing about. I got the money for it, the thing is I'm on holiday untill august. But I got plenty of free time, that's why I started looking into it, so when I return I can start building right away. I will post again in 2-3 months, discuss a little and start purchasing then

Anyway thanks for all the help everybody!
