So i've got a 1060 3gb and was thinking if i should upgrade or not, i was thinking either a 2060 or a 2070.
anything around the price range of those two so around 300~500 should i with the 2060 or 2070 or any other card that can out perform these two for a better price? |

What is the res and hz of your monitor/s? Also, we need to know the specs of the PC like the CPU and PSU. |

The RTX 2060 is the best bang for the buck. With that said, it may struggle hitting 144 fps depending on the game and quality settings. The RTX 2070 is also a great card for the money. The RTX 2070 is basically in the middle. You're not overpaying that much for the performance you get but its not the best card out there. I personally would go with the one below.
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($478.99 @ SuperBiiz) |

Up to you really. If you've got the cash, and you don't feel like your 3GB 1060 is enough, then sure. Anything less than an RTX 2060 wouldn't be enough of an upgrade to justify the cost IMO, so I'd definitely be aiming for around RTX 2060 performance as a minimum for an upgrade at this point. That said, the RTX 2060 is still quite pricey so it might even be hard to justify if your 3GB 1060 is still performing fine.
Navi is really close, and we'll have more info on it at E3 but from what we've seen so far, it should definitely at least match RTX 2060 performance. I'd assume pricing will be better than the RTX line-up too, but we'll just have to wait and see about that- pricing will be revealed at E3, so I'd definitely just wait the 2 weeks and if Navi looks like it might be disappointing, just grab yourself an RTX 2060/2070 if you want. I'm not sure I'd really bother with the RTX 2070 over the 2060, the price increase isn't really worth it IMO. The main benefit is the extra 2GB VRAM, which isn't going to benefit you at 1080p anyway, and the RTX 2060 is still definitely more than adequate of playing @ 1080p144Hz. |
